#7 cannot be more relatable, the longer I practice, the worse I play...the next morning I am suddenly Beethoven...
Nick Szeto why this happen?
Nick Szeto if you play long, the concentration will drop.
Also happened with guitar.
That why you need to at least Practice 30-40 minutes in one sitting and then rest and budget your time if you want to at least Practice like 3 hours a day
So true
When I want to play my hard-earned songs for someone, I turn into a total beginner. Glad to see it's not just me.
Aculnahuacatl Tzaqualcatl the only time i play well is when they sneak up on me
Plays perfectly.
Plays perfectly again.
Great, hit record!
56 takes to get it right while recording.
And for some underlying reason you end up not being satisfied with the end result even if it sounds good. xD
Omg this is so true đđđ
Oh my god I'm not the only one. This literally happened to me earlier today. I almost cried because I was so frustrated.
Jup, this.
my people are here
The first one is so relatable.
Edit: EVERYTHING is so relatable.
True, I can't play properly when my friend watches me playđđđ
Yeah same... I do it all right if nobody watching me but when someone watches me.... fdsgkjdfkghdakjafhsjklghfkdsjdhjkhjlkfhgjd
Specially in front of my teacher
@@Jonolva_PS exactly!!!
@@Jonolva_PS Idk why but I play better when in front of my teacher lol
When you envy other people because they have long fingers...
How far can you reach? I can only comfortably reach an octave (Though I have this one friend who can reach 2 above an octave. 3 if he really tries. Totally unfair, he plays French horn/mellophone)
Melis Demiralp it's even worse if you have tiny hands
I can only reach from like c to d (one octave later, not like the d right next to c)
Hau is secretly a malasada I can reach from a middle C to a D one octive higher....
C to the next C#, but not D....
What is this witchcraft?
Melis Demiralp true
no.10 is so true, everytime i'm practicing one of my friends is always like "wait let me try" and interrupt me just to play "happy birthday" or some shit then they mess up and go "wait let me try again" thus practice time ruined
IKR!!
BreezyVersus what is song in 2:32 pleaseee i need it
Amina KariÄ tbh I have no clue
Amina KariÄ it's from the Amelie movie. it's called comptine d'un autre Ă©tĂ©
Brenda Karla thank youu soo much
That moment when you are playing a song perfectly and your parents call you in the middle of the piece đđ
I hate when that happens.
I just try to finishđ
Yes yes yes!! Or when dinner is ready and your memorizing a part or getting to a good spot of progress!
I already put a sign on my door to not bother me when Im practicing, but my mom still does it anyway
I can totally relate to this
Number 10 is so relatable, my friends just sit on the piano in school and play some twinkle twinkle shit, and everyone is like oh my god you're so good, but I'm too shy to play in front of everyone...
totally agree
ikr it's so stupid
I relate
Me too
Mood
The left hand thing đ
pato barajas Ok so I'm a violinist and a lefty and my brother plays the piano, but for some reason my left hand is always really weak on the piano and my wrist keeps collapsing it annoys me so much I can't even
pato barajas i have this Problem with The right hand - i am left handed:(
that's exactly my problem too đ
im right handed but i play stronger with my left hand. but im left footed so does that have anything to do with it?
I'm left handed, so I have trouble with my right hand. My right either moves awkwardly or doesn't put the amount of pressure on the keys as the sound demanded. Very frustrating, indeed.
Any other piano players have this problem, I cannot focus on one piece, Everytime I start one, I begin with the next and never finish the first one, therefore I cannot play a whole piece, just parts of oneđđ How do I fix?
Eric Adorno OMG Yes! Maybe it's bc songs tend to start easy and then everything goes to hell
felicitas juarez O yes! there was this song it's called Hall of the Mountain King, search it up, it starts off easy then becomes hell, that was the only song I didn't regret abandoning, see a video and you will know what I meanđ
Eric Adorno You are right! It's insane! It happened to me with Clair de Lune and the Harry Potter one
felicitas juarez Oooo yea I learned part of Harry Potter but I saw a video about He's a pirate and I couldn't resist to learn it too, therefore abandoning Harry Potter đ
Eric Adorno glad to hear that I'm not the only one with the abandoning thing going onđđ
You forgot flipping the page... itâs such a struggle... at least it is for me
There are bigtablets ..might look into it. Also check put the midi app called Midi Sheet Music. It will play any midi piano file ( as far as I know), and even has the option to put notes in subscript.
Even small tablets would be ok for working on hard parts. I have Android but I am thinking of going to iPad.
.
That's why i used to print them as individual pages and tape them togeter. It works if you don't have more than 5 pages.
Yeah, my piano teacher doesn't trust anyone to flip the pages for her, since a woman accidentally dropped all the sheets at her concert xD
Joline Tran at this point I just memorize the piece đ
Joline Tran Same!!
My 6-year-old daughter and I are both taking piano lessons. I played this video for her the other day and it made her laugh and laugh and laugh. Now she wants to watch it every day. Your videos are really fun and helpful, thank you for making them!
Great idea.
That's so sweet! My mom was the one who first taught me actually because she played as a child. She never continued though so now I'm the only one who plays piano on both sides of the family.
I am quite certain the last one is the only possible reaction when you see a piano or keyboard at anyone else's house
I do that in department stores, small event halls (if it's _too fancy_ a place, I'll be too embarrassed), and retirement homes, too. =^p Pretty much any place with a piano- I think I've even been to _a hospital_ once with a (decorative) piano in the entrance-lobby.
Everytime I go to a place I go like âI wonder if they have a piano thereâ
I'm known for being slightly... possessive... of any piano I see...
litterally any place with a piano
I see you commenting in every videos related to piano music
Extremely relatable ,the only annoying thing I found on this video ,was the half a second time frame to read the caption after every number ,after number 5 I gave up and guessed what you were doing .
Whenever I'm at someone's house and they have a piano, I just stare at it the whole time wanting to play it
recitals are the worst for me. literally last recital, i had been playing so perfectly beforehand (coulda practically played it in my sleep) and somehow my hands decided that was the PERFECT time to forget how to play the songs and also have several memory slips. basically, afterwards, i cried for hours bc i was so pissed off.
Emerald Productions the thing is ive been playing for 8 years and i still cant play for shit infront of people yeehawwww
same i play well at my lessons or at home and then in recitals i suddenly do terrible đ
Not only did I mess up in a few places playing classical guitar at a recital, my whole body was shaking with my leg resting on a footstool shaking the most. This was one of the most embarrassing and scary experiences of my life đđą
4:08 This is me every time. I just see picture of piano in someone's house and am like, caniplaypls?
Link2299 do you recall the name of the song? I know it from somewhere, but I can't remember :s
Link2299 đ Keyboard! đ
Link2299 T6ZT
+Founes you give love a bad name by Bon Jovi
+Zoë Bell Thank you very much :)
It's sad how true these are
No. 7.
Me: **practices really hard** Damn it!
Me: **2 hours later** I still suck at this part!
Me: **next morning, plays amazingly** Impossible. Was I practicing in my sleep? How the hell?
(True story, and it happened the day I had to perform the piece.)
Woah, tell me more!
happened at guitar too, im assuming maybe it has something to do with our muscles, and we're resting, and how resting are making our muscles better ? idk, just assuming hahahah
LEFT HAND TRILLS UGH
AAaaaAaa AAAAA those drive me crazy!
RIGHT HAND TRILLS UGH
Iâm a lefty :â )
And you almost always play the cool stuff in right hand
*cries in corner*
Hey but at least I donât really have a problem playing with both hands. Idk why I just never had a problem with it.
Eww right hand trills
The Chinese Paintbrush aka Artymouse im a lefty too :)
In #8, "41 pages?!" really got me.
THIS IS SUCH A GREAT VIDEO. I CAN RELATE TO THE SPIRAL BOOK LOL
Rich Brian everyone can XD
A reason why you should buy Henle ;)
another struggle: when ur hands get warm and slip off the keys..
Or is this just me ..
Same
My hands are NEVER WARM đđđ€Ł
Chris Y Same i feel like my fingers are getting colder the more I use them
Hannah At Home My hands are either freezing cold and donât work at all or so warm theyâre sweaty and slip of the keys
YES
Those text transitions are WAYYY too quick
i was sitting buy my piano while watching this and i started to play FĂŒr Elise then you started to play and i was like"HUUUUUUUUHHHHHH I AM THE CHOSEN ONE"
Ss Animics thats cool but not really ( btw donât take this seriously )
Ss Animics omg i HATE cutting my nails i go on pintrest and im just like uggggghhhhh đ©đ©đ©đ©
Same thing with number 7
I read that comment in Markiplier's voice LOL
Wow, this made me happy. I'm learning piano now for the first time and I'm already 43. I thought I was the only one having these problems because of being such an old starter. Thanks!
It's never too late to start something, especially a hobby or a dream! Good luck!
Sandra van der Sluijs Oh, I love how you are trying something new! Supporting you all the way, and don't let those problems get ya down đ
Sandra van der Sluijs better to learn than regretting in the very end. Don't compare yourself to others. Remember, everyone is unique and special.
Plus there's a You Tuber telling the world that the piano is the easiest instrunent to learn to play!
The last is so true.
I was hired to take photos of a house since they were selling it. And the family was very musical and they had a very nice grand piano.
This video speaks me SO from the soul i cant describe itđđ
Here's a problem I ran into recently: I learned to tell the difference between major and minor chords and I was good. The week after I was getting half of them wrong.
That's happened with my students from time to time. It seems to just be fluke, maybe your ear was on an "off" day? Here's hoping!
pianoTV This morning I struggled again (had to listen to the chords more than once) and yet I got all of them correct. I think getting them all right is a fluke :-)
I don't care where I am, who you are, and I don't care when, but if I see a piano, I will play it. No one can stop me.
Jae Jay Iâm the same. Every time I see a piano, I have an uncontrollable urge to play it.
2:18 Absolutely my favourite part!!
OMG I CAN ACTUALLY RELATE TO EACH. Espcially when I thought Rhaposdy in Blue was easy, BUT IT WAS FRICKEN 41 PAGES, oml I downloaded the same thing too
lol im a pianist these problems were soooo relatable
0:36 Can you tell me what the time signature is? I'm not that good at reading music sheets so I don't get it...
@@naritruwireve1381 I'm late to this, but it's 4/2, 4 half notes to a measure. In old German editions, it's common to see 4/2 notated as a double cut time. Other editions, I see 2/2 or 4/2, but old and German, double cut time. Don't know why.
Brilliant. I am speechless. I watched it four times... tried to show my wife, rejected!!
Bryce Augustine That's a mean wife
Haha, I love this video so much! Only started playing piano almost 3 months ago, and already so many things in this video are too true :P Especially the unlearning overnight, and playing in front of others lol
I must say that this was the most motivational video I've ever watched. The moment of realization, that everyone goes through this, not just you... Thank you!
WAIT YOU FORGOT HOW MUCH TROUBLE IT IS TO FLIP PAGES WHILE YOU'RE PLAYING! That one's the worst!
just memorize the piece, it's not that hard. when you're playing the piece for the first time, youre not gonna have trouble flipping the pages. as youre learning, you gradually memorize it, so that when you can play it better, you dont even need the book/sheet. at least that's my case
Devan Janaka, I'm practically unable to learn a whole piece by heart. I know it more or less, but I need to follow a bit with the paper. My learnt by heart record ever was two pages.
Devan Janaka It definitely would help to memorize, but it takes me a while to learn the song first, and then when I practice it I use the sheet music so I don't leave out any important dynamics, etc. For me memorization is always the last step in perfecting a piece, so it usually doesn't help the page turning issue much for me.
Lied Cuenta Nueva honestly, just keep practising AND listening to the piece over and over again (on yt). every time i start playing a new piece, i sight read for a bit, then i listen to it on yt. when i started learning schubert's impromptu no 3, i literally sight read the first page/section, then listened to it on yt. then i found the pattern of the notes, how the melody goes, even the dynamics i try to memorize. your brain basically just automatically tries to memorize these things and sticks it in your brain. i finished sight reading (slowly) the whole piece in like no time (every one can sight read, even slowly). no kidding, i memorized the whole thing in a bit more than a week. if you still find problems, just get someone to flip the pages for you, or, what my mum does, is photocopy the pages, then tape it side to side so it becomes one long sheet that you can just fold and unfold.
Lauren Daddi you can try to do all the dynamics by listening to the piece with the book/sheet in front of you. you can do the whole thing at once, or you can do it per page or something. and with things like the accents and staccato and all that little details, you can probably do that when you first learn the piece. again, if you still find some issues, get a page turner (your mum could do it for you), or tape all the pages side to side so you dont have to flip the pages.
#6 so true, kids nowadays are crazy
Yeah, remember how they used to be so normal in Mozartâs times..?
0:01 and 0:56, is that Chopin Ballade No.4?
2:33 Comptine d'un autre ete; l'apres midi (no accents)
3:33 Fur Elise
4:11 Oh yes...
4:11 sounded a bit like Bon Jovi
Oh my god never has a video been so relatable! Also your edits are hilarious. Keep it up girl!! đčđ
OMGGGG THIS IS RELATABLE IN O MANY WAYS đđđđđ
especially the short fingers and playing In front of ppl đđđđ
THIS IS ALL SO TRUE! I HAVE LOST COUNT OF HOW MANY TIMES I'VE SHOUTE- I MEAN TALKED TO MY FINGERS WHEN I MESS UP XD
Omg i do that and i also slap my hands
I'll just be like " BAD HAND BAD"
YESYESYES EXACTLY I do that too!
More than just a shadow yes! Especially to my left hand
Hau is secretly a malasada I also bite my fingers... please tell me I'm not the only one
Nancy Xu nope not alone, I bite my hands :")
There are two overnight phenomena:
1. Plays poorly today. Sleeps. Plays same thing perfectly tomorrow.
2. Plays perfectly today. Sleeps. Plays same thing poorly tomorrow.
These are all so true! I love it! đ€Ł I can watch this on an endless loop. My only suggestion is to keep the black screen with the description on for more than a fraction of a second. I'm a fast reader but not that fast.
The left hand one is SOOO ME haha I can't play for my life with my left hand.
This is a battle that left hand people fight with a right-handed piano. I am a right. I face the same problem. Try So Feggietto by Bach. There is a left hand version on portion of it. Boogie patterns
are good. try to imitate boogie patterns with left hand.
Sarah Curtis omg ikr
NOOBS
1d10t1c 3x93rt shut up
@@-JaelynnGonzalez- newwbb
*_Shot through the heart!_*
2:53 omg I laughed so much xD your video was so funny, and so accurate! You get a new subscriber :D
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I CAN RELATE TO THIS. all. of. these. were. more. or. less. relatable. this video is awesome
The last one, unless the instruments requires me to use my mouth, I'll probably play anything I see. BECAUSE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS ARE COOOOLL
ChowTurtlezPabus same..even if I embarass myself doing so, because it's my first time trying the instrument out :D
oml most of these are relatable even if you play another instrument BUT THE MAGNETIC ACTIVATION FIELD no lie thats true and its really only for piano you can't just whip out a double bass or an oboe at any given moment
Very true
I always make many mistakes when in front of others
1:09 bulldog clips have got your back for this đ
Oh yeah... thanks!
You're like the musician version of Jenna Marbles
Jenna Marbles does some original music videos on her channel, but I think only on occasion. I agree though, that Alyssa brings a lot of the same energy and freshness to music curricula that typifies the trending vloggers.
Kay L so true!
#6 why is it always a child?!?!:')
annita sf ikr!! Like I learn something and then I look it up and I see "PRODIGY 3 YEAR OLD PLAYS (insert piece)!!"
Roses are red
Violets are blue
There's always a kid
Who's better than you
An ASIAN child no less. I think that was the actual point.
It's always easier to learn things when your a kid...
Ah Ah Ah! An ASIAN kid to be precise.
I couldn't control my laughter!! You are so clever.
No.7 is so true. Just yesterday i felt like i lost the ability to read sheet music and when i decided to try again this morning.....lo and behold, it actually sounds good
Of all the videos of that kind, this is the most relatable one for me so far, good work!
I can so FREAKING COMPLETELY RELATE to that video you made me laugh a lot you are awesome :D
3:00 So relatable, thats always me with my friends, just to be shut and requested to change the music to reggaeton lol
The, âi was just doing itâ, is soooo me...
OMG LIEBESTRAUM!!! (classically fan-boying/girling/I'll keep you guessing)
Me: **Walking in costco with my mom**
Mom: "Oh do we need milk?
Me: "I think so we- OMG A KEYBOARD
Mom: "WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS"
Me: WERE IS THE VOLUME ON THIS THING?????
Sibling: WERE WALKING AWAY NOW!!
Mom: WERE LEAVING YOU
Me: **Plays quickly**
Me: Ok I'm don- WERE DID YOU GUYS GO
Mom: We've got a keyboard at home.
Keyboard at home: 3:45
Yes! I can totally relate to no. 7, how many times have i tried and practised until late at night not getting anywhere, then they next morning it sits with ease! I had no idea it was the same for everyone else :D
That 'nerd' one was EPIC!
Actually....
ALL WERE EPIC!GREAT VIDEO!
âYou had one jobâ âKeyboardâ hahahahahhaha this is so true myghed
I can't even read its just quite fast!!! đđđ
But anyways I loved her hair colorđđđ
đ€Łđ all you have to do is pause the video to read!! It' s obvious!!! đđđđđ
All of these are so true! Could not be more accurate, congratulations. Like.
#15 absolutely nailed it.
What's the song at 4:11?
Dina Solovyova you give love a bad name
Dina Solovyova Fur Elise
What is the name of the piece at 2:27
Die Fabelhafte Welt der Amelie
comptine d'un autre été
It was amusing and true to the core at the same time. Thanks ;)
Another struggle is watching others play Twinkle Twinkle Littke Star and getting a ton of praises or people thinking Fur Elise is the hardest piece ever while you're sitting at the backseat knowing you can play Fantaisie Impromptu.
there is not one of these things that I don't relate to
the pyramid song by Radiohead as well lmao
I don't get no. 9 (2:19). If you can relate, can you please explain it to me? =^(
ChaosRayZero it means that you dream of playing a song but you can't play it
16. Breaking your fingers from glissandos.
Also that sounded like Rhapsody in blue. One kid in my Oakland piano camp had 2 years of piano and literally was able to play it and it sounds easy but it really isn't.
Ye Rim Won Lol you need to listen only to the first minute and a half to realize it's not easy at all
Soooo true! I couldn't stop laughing, especially at the "piano nerd" part... #7 is the truest of all these last days. I am learning the Ballade from BurgmĂŒller; These were exactly the round of emotions I came by.... lol.
This is the most relatable video I've ever watched!
Heyyy, what's the song in number 15?
PianoMusic Bon Jovi - You give love a bad name
Elena Mv OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH :)
So...fucking....... ACURATE!!!!
You are a GENIUS omggg! I play piano 6 years old and i hate those problems. Its summer vacation so i didnt play piano for 2 months, i cant wait to play again, OMG
I relate to all of these! The last one especially! đ
I've been playing the piano for 9 years now...and I really do not consider myself to be a good player....but by relating to every single thing in this video....haha it kinda gave me a boost in confidence...I might not be such a shitty player when someone who is amazing at playing has the same problems!!đ
#relatable
All of these are EXTREMELY relatable.
I love the pyramid song... it's so nice.
What's the song at 2:30?
Ashleigh Thomas it's French- I think it's Comptine d'Un Autre ĂtĂš by Yann Teirsen, that's what I saw when I scrolled down at least
Thank you, it is!
Ashleigh Thomas can you play it now
2:26 song please;
comptine d'un autre été
Darude dankstorm
@@mariomassy4751 fuck you shithead IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE CAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THAT DARUDE SHIT
#4 is so relatable...I sometimes even leave the piano and come back only to end a phrase!
I like the last one. And the one where you can't play the song but in the morning you have it nailed for some odd reason.
most of tho's are me! lol
The first problem is real hell)) Are there any videoswith solutions to it)?
Number 10 is so true. Especially if little kids or my friends are around. Someone tells me to play for them and then they butt in when I start playing.
Too funny!!! So good to feel part of a piano-playing community, all struggling to produce beauty!
NUMBER 5!!! omg yes.
J. H. Yesssđđđđ
Ooo.. Whats the piece at 0:01 too?
Kimmeh was wondering too...anybody knows ?
theror Yeah! It's Franz Liszt-Liebestraum No.3
Thank you
Irene Irene 2:21 is simply sad violin
Irene Irene and 2:30 is dun autre ete or something
#7 is the curse OMG I do this same thing when I am learning a new Czerny Op. 139 exercise. :O
This is one of your best videos - we've all been there!!
15.....yes that's me
omg I relate to this soo much đđđ
I play the piano too. And I see myself in everything from this video. So relatable. I do have nail art account so if you want, you can see other pianist's nails. đ
2:59 Ok, now I'm totally subscribing.
