We loved Food Republic and felt like it was such a shame that it seems to be the least popular (except for Nama Sushi) specialty restaurant. It was so good, it's one of our top choices on Norwegian now.

I loved Food Republic but it never was crowded which surprised me.
Before our cruise on Prima, I polled a Facebook group I’m in to gauge what the best restaurants are and no one said Food Republic, so we skipped it. We only ended up going because we wanted to try everything when we went on Viva. SO glad we did!
F.R. is an underdog for sure. Maybe best kept secret

For sure! F.R. might be a tie for our favorite specialty restaurant in all of NCL. We loved it on the Escape & wanted to return. I think just space wise on the Prima class - they made the decision to cut the lido deck in half with Buffet on Port side & 2 specialty restaurants on Starboard. Sadly, humanity has not changed & demand for free buffets is still going through the roof. I love F.R. but they need to move it downstairs & take away Nama sushi. Its too similar. Then tadah.... extra lido deck space for more buffet... which I personally can't stand... however the masses demand it & are overflowing so what can you do.
I think you're right that being where Nama is would have been better, and frankly eliminate the separate sushi restaurant. I didn't see anyone eating at Nama the entire cruise. And then people would have seen it on the way back from Hudson's and maybe given it a try.
It was the best specialty restaurant on the Escape.b

Just came across your channel and we took Prima recently. Unfortunately we did not enjoy Food Republic on there and thought it was worst meal we had. It's weird cuz I enjoyed Food Republic on Escape & Bliss but then not on Prima
Sorry to hear that! Maybe you just got unlucky. I can attest that it still can be good on Viva at least.
