Ich muss ganz ganz ehrlich sagen...ich bin begeistert! Als ich den Namen "To the power of eight" gelesen habe, dachte ich mir...komisch...sind doch nur sieben...kann es sein....nein...er ist raus... Das es auch das achte Album ist, habe ich komplett ausgeblendet und dann... bei Minute 1:36 hatte ich tatsächlich Gänsehaut und bekomme sie jedes Mal wenn ich den Trailer sehe. VanCanto war für mich immer das "perfekte" Zusammenspiel aus Inga und Dennis gepaarte mit einem Haufen Rakka-Takka. Hagen ist ohne umschweife ein sehr sehr guter Sänger, aber VanCanto klang auf Trust in Rust auf einmal anders und das gefiel mir nicht. Umsomehr freue ich mich nun zu sehen, dass alle drei zusammen sind und ich bin auf das Ergebnis sehr sehr gespannt. Das Album ist bereits bestellt!

Holy! Yes! I think Sly was the overall better singer. But Hagen can do more crazy shit with his voice which is awesome. Both together with the beatiful voice of Inga...there may be coming something great!

Then I listened to THIS and I went "nuh uh, I'm DEFINITELY buying that freaking album! This sounds fucking amazing!" XD I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with this amazing piece of musical art!
As long as Hagen and Inga don't sing together this will be fantastic. Their voices clashed so much the last time around, it was very disappointing. My hopes are very high for this. But Sly returning is so HUGE. So very excited for this.

Most replayed moment of this track being Sly's reappearance in the band is telling how much people love him and without him, Van Canto will never be the same. Trust in Rust was mediocre at best. Don't get me wrong - Hagen can sing well, he just isn't Sly. Fact that Sly is a *guest* vocalist on the entire album makes me feel like they don't really want him back in band, but he is necessary for their success.
I agree, Sly is the salt of the van canto dish we all came to love. When i was listening to the way they re-made some songs on trust in rust i felt dead inside, those songs should have remained unchanged, why mess with perfection? Hagen attempting Sly's solos ruined those songs for me, i had to go and wash my ears with the original version of the songs.
The music is taken from the intro of the album, it was intended to be slow and without real lyrics. The rest of the album is loud and fast as always - we will show more updates until the album release!
