I'm a new widow. Never took care of a car in my long married life. The dealer wanted to charge me $125 to change the filter. They brought out the old one to show me. My husband always said most dealers rip u off so I said no, went on Amazon & found one w good reviews, went on CZcams and found you. Thank you!! Followed your instructions stopping the video at every new point and got it all done in 15 mins. I was so proud of myself. I know my husband must be too. Again, thank you for posting this. It was easy enough for this 69 yr old grannie to understand and accomplish w your help.
Nice Job! Glad it helped
GOOD for you!!! Glad you took that step - the utube videos are a good place to research your car maintenance!
You can always take your car to advance auto parts they will guide you .
That wasn't so bad honestly.
the fact that you added the aftermarket cabin filter placement make this video an A+++
Thanks!
A normal person (no hype/promotion/tidied hair) providing a succinct, factual description of where and how to change cabin air filter. Thank you
You're Welcome!
Thanks very much for the tip on the air flow arrow(s) pointing downward on an aftermarket filter. I pulled out an OEM filter, but installed an aftermarket filter, so the different labeling of the "up" arrows on the OEM and the "down" arrows on the aftermarket one confused me. You're the only wizard out of four videos I watched who explained that and it was critical in helping me get it right. Great job!
You're Welcome! Glad it helped
Perfect video. Someone else already said it, but the comment about non-OEM arrow direction being backwards was so helpful!
Thanks! Glad it helped!

You're Welcome!
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! Initially, I made a mistake while installing the filter because the aftermarket filter indicated that the airflow arrow should point upwards. However, I soon realized that something wasn't right. That's when I stumbled upon your helpful video, which clarified the correct installation method. It's truly awesome!!! 🎉🎉

When I was reinstalling the glove box the bar that attaches to the dampening mechanism shown at 0:35 fell off and down inside somewhere I can’t see. Then the dampening mechanism also fell off but I got that out. I tried to take the housing apart to retrieve that bar but couldn’t figure out how to take it apart. So I gave up and reinstalled the glove box without the bar and dampener. So it works but no dampening.
Thank u
You're Welcome!
For the people having the issue where the glovebox doesn’t close/latch back up after reinstalling the filter, make sure the bottom hinges grip the inside where they are supposed to go, you don’t just insert the hinges into the hole. Look down there and have it grip so it’s they’re over and under the latches on the inside of the glovebox where it’s supposed to go… hope that helps someone…
lmao i just read you .. i had that issue , and after 5 hard minutes i found out , how to deal with ..
I was just quoted 115 to replace at next visit, lol, no. Thank you for your video.
You're Welcome!
Thanks for the video. I replaced my filter and the glove box would not close shut. I tried to take it apart few times still no success. , any suggestion? Thanks!
never mind, read the post below and fixed. Thanks!
Cool - glad you got it figured out
OK replaced the filter now the door will not latch?
I’m having the same issue
Did exactly this and now my glove box won’t close any tips?
the glovebox is likely not sitting on the hinges correctly - try removing the glovebox and reinstalling. paying close attention to the hinges on the bottom
Why my glove box doesn’t line up correct anymore after i did my replacement. I did what you did.
it sounds like you may not have the glove box all the way on the hinges
@@PYR-Auto hi, its all good already, I guess I didn’t aligned the hinges on the right side, You have to push it up when putting it back. Thanks for this video too! 🤝🏻
Ah, push up on the glove box as you are re-seating it on its hinges! Especially the right side. That did it for me too.
Even after reading this, it took about 8 attempts and 15 minutes to get it right. An unusually poor design by Toyota.@@PYR-Auto
Thank for show me you save me $50
Seems like a Wix cabin filter doesn't fit in the try..
Had no idea this plane was built in 97
Want to know something funny my local dealership charges $115 to replace a cabin air filter
I believe it!
The airflow arrow should be pointing up into the dash because that is sucking air from the cabin back into the system. It’s not blowing air. It’s sucking air so that was backwards.
Thanks
