Yeah but you can’t get them to admit that he is dangerous! I have seen multiple people say that they are fine with him being a dictator! That is crazy! I am also a first generation American on my Father's side. He is from Hungary. My mother was born in the USA on the border of Canada in the US state of Maine. Honestly, "Blade Runner" is a terrible analogy to this. Leigh, watch all the seasons of "The Handmaid's Tale." You MUST. You can print so many realities, like digging into Project 2025, in Agenda 47, watch the whole show. It's the better analogy.
In fact, this is what we should be advising people to do watch it and then decide if that's how they want to live because Projects 2025 and Agenda 47 are eerily similar to Gilead.
I like to point out that in the flashbacks of THT, regular folk were dismayed at the crazy laws, saying things like, “they can’t do that!” When, in fact, they just did. It’s been playing out IRL already.
While watching J6 as it happened, I was reminded of the Capitol attack scene in THT. Eerie.

When I first heard about the handmaid's tale I decided that I would not watch it because it seemed like horror drama fiction and now I feel that it was someone with foresight knowing that this was in the works already.
@@davidbusen545 It’s from a 1985 book by Margaret Atwood and she used events that had already happened around the world. I think I would have been better off reading the book because the series used an agitating background sound that really amped up the tension.
There are photos of people on the streets of Iran from the 70s and they’re strikingly similar to street shots of America during the same timeframe. Then, the theocracy took over.

@@bkm2797 I would think if things went bad in the US, we would certainly let Americans in. We have done it for many other countries over the years. I'm retired now, but in 2016 when I was still working, we hired an IT guy who had a spouse who left the US when Trump was elected. He was still here in 2021 when I retired and I assume he still is.

Trump had to restrain himself during his first administration because he needed to get reelected, during his second term he would have no reason to hold back on his authoritarianism.
It's how he ran his deals. He makes promises to make you give him what he wants, and after doing that, you're no longer any use to him and the promises are forgotten.

I would love to hear this but I don’t have the time to spend listening or reading much these days ( due to working 60 hrs a week) is there anyway to make a ten minutes video or highlights good talking points! You have great things to say! But many people out here do not have time to sit down and listen to your words unfortunately! I can listen to you if it under 15 minutes on the go to work or home.

Unfortunately many people I would like to share this with don’t have the attention span to do15 minutes nevertheless a hour to watch To reach people out there who have very little time to spare there needs to short videos for us. I don’t have podcast and not planning to add it to my phone. But if it can reach other on their devices I’m for it.
I have been listening while I was doing some chores
As an old guy I've come up with numerous ways to address this problem. My phone remains on charge and I have several speakers that I place conveniently around the house so I have to be able to walk from any room to any other room and continuously here updates on the political front. Also my lawn mower is battery-operated and rechargeable so it is extremely quiet and I strap one of those speakers to the handle of the mower and I'm able to keep up on it that way. Same with the car. I have a device that plugs into the cigarette lighter and converts the Bluetooth signal to an FM signal so that I can continue while traveling to the grocery store. The only hitch is that I don't have CZcams premium or whatever they call it and so I can sometimes be Hoodwinked into listening to 1 hour and 5 minutes commercial if I'm not paying attention.
This is so very retro - all the way back to the dark ages! He is like the spouse who accuses the other of being unfaithful when it is he who is actually guilty of the infidelity.
