He wasn't sucking up to the audience at all - other people engage in manipulative behaviour just to get whatever they want. Whenever you listen to him being interviewed he is charming and respectful. He really was a sensitive soul but he had the meaning of rapport down to a fine art.

Incredible, today we sing this song at the Central Offcial Language School in Madrid. We have been practicing and seen several versions, but Freddy was out of this world, He gave it it's original medieval flavour. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Even just as a rehearsal - 0:42 wow, you can see how passionate he gets. Like he just instantly falls in love with the song. I feel that they could have recorded a studio version with a few string/brass instruments plus having an opera singer along with Freddie's magnificent voice (think 'Barcelona' just toned down a lot. This song doesn't sound like it needs to be grandiose).

First time Queen did that was with Teo Torriatte, they loved their Japanese fans so much that they wrote a song for them.
