Just wanted to say I loved the set up of this video. I know you probably freaked out about lighting but girl the camera angles, the microphone, and audio of the clicks when books popped up was so cozy and cute!! One of the books that got me back into reading was The Neighbor by Hannah McKinnon! Read it so fast. Thriller/mystery.
Ahh that makes me so happy thank you 🙏
I really love your CZcams videos because I never feel like the instagram ones are long enough. Really enjoy just putting on one of your videos and listening to you while I draw. I think sometimes you wonder if your efforts on CZcams are really worth it and I just want you to know they are appreciated! One book that I really liked was Constance by Matthew FitzSimmons. (If you haven’t read it already.) It’s definitely very different than the average everyday novel. One of the main themes is the ethics of cloning and whether clones are truly “human beings.” What I enjoyed about it was that it made me consider thoughts, ideas, philosophical questions I had just never considered in my everyday life. Truly fascinating stuff. There are also so many twists and turns with a crazy ending. It’s science fiction/fantasy but not in a nerdy way. And another that I love in that realm is Glass Shatters by Michelle Meyers. It definitely isn’t as popular or well rated as Constance but I still think it’s great. If you check either out let us know what you think!
i second this! devon we LOVE your youtube videos 🤍 i literally check all the time for a new one 🥺
Thank you so much for this comment :')
Just looked up the book description that sounds so interesting! Definitely adding it to my ever-growing list of must-reads lol
thank you so much :')
We have such similar taste! Reading Bunny right now and just finished the book Adelaide. It’s such a good book about being a girl in your 20s and finding yourself… related so much!
I love that concept! I think I saw that book as an option on my book of the month subscription and I didn't choose it but now I'm adding to my TBR haha
What a great video! I can recommend "Mexican Gothic".
Loved this relaxing video!! I just finished the audiobook of “Butcher & Blackbird” by Brynn Weaver and think you’d love it!! Some books that made me have allll the feels after reading them were “Out on a Limb” by Hannah Bonam-Young and “Caught Up” (Book 3) by Liz Tomforde!
I love the filming style on this video with the two cameras. Thanks for this insightful video, reading is definitely something I’m getting back to. So this was helpful. Love your channel btw , def one of my faves ❤
Love that you listed a lot of the authors that I’ve been getting into lately! Thank you for the recommendations!!

The cartographers is a must read!! Could not put it down
If you haven’t ready and Lucinda Berry books, I highly recommend. They are very dark though! I really liked Saving Noah and Appetite for Innocence
I love your vibe devon! Keep up the great videos!!
Thank you!!
I read ‘the midnight library’ last year. I did love it. Also just finished ‘tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow’ I flew through the first half felt it slowed in the last quarter but I still loved the characters. My favourite book is ‘where the crawdads sing’ by Delia Owens, great imagery and it was also turned into a film.
Bunny feels like a fever dream! It’s ummm different hahah
The great alone was the best book I’ve read! Kristin Hannah is an amazing author ❤
I'm going to add that to my TBR list!
The Midnight Library was an amazing book! It was the book that made me enjoy reading again. I haven't had time to read lately, but I plan to buy myself a Kindle once im done with grad school!
I'm so excited to read it! I just bought it at barnes and noble last night lol!
Loved this video!
Thank you!!
Too Late by Colleen Hoover is REALLY good, just finished it.
I like to read, but I really have to force myself to do so now. I have ADHD and it's been pretty bad. Very hard to sit still and relax. I do have several fave authors though. I love medical thrillers, psychological thrillers, horror and paranormal type books. My fave authors are...Jonathan Kellerman, Karin Slaughter, Paul Tremblay, Preston and Child, Robin Cook, Lisa Jackson, Jennifer McMahon, Patricia Cornwell, and Riley Sager.
You should give Frieda McFadden a try! Something about her writing keeps my attention lol
I will check her out. @@devonandwillo
