"One needs an emotional connection to the language"... I always felt this way so thanks to Artem for putting it so eloquently. I'm learning Russian for completely illogical reasons (don't know any Russians, don't need it for my job). However I'm fascinated by the culture and the people, so that keeps me motivated.
Emotional connection can be also so strong through music and films! 🙂 Happy studying!

Я говорю на пяти языках : французский, английский, испанский, русский и лингала (мой родной язык).
иногда я забываю некоторые слова и вспоминаю их на одном или двух языках (это явление даже имеет научное название "bout de langue" на французском, буквально "кончик языка").
И бывает что я говорю фразы как : " какая woman are you talking about ? 😂🤣😂

in cycling all professionals train more or less the same, yet there are those who win and those who come last, often a long time after the winner has crossed the finsh line.
learning a language is about the same, Artem is a winner, he's really fast, I am one of those who struggle up the mountains but the goal is to get to the finish line having done one's best.
fast learning is a talent, there's no training for that no matter what polyglots with millions of hits on youtube say.
having said that, nice video, as always.

Also, what i understand in my journey with Finnish, for example, was the fear to make mistakes. Artem seems to have no such fear when starting to practice new languages. And that's great!
I'm not sure whether to agree or disagree
Disagree with your analogy of cycling. I'm not a cycling professional but I do marathon running, and there's no such thing as being in the 'same' level no matter what kind of work you do. That's an excuse. I have personal records and I beat them all the time. It's in the type of training.
However, I agree when it comes to learning languages. It's my fourth year learning Russian now and I've been consistent of it, 20 hrs per month--but I'm still not yet fluent. I only read and listen. There's no speaking skills that is develop on those four years so that must be where I'm making a mistake.

Anastasia, you are like the Linguist Scientist, so have you ever compared the word order used by Star Wars character Yoda with a direct translation of Russian to English? I am native English speaker and want to better understand Russian word order so I argue for "direct translation" because word order is important part of "real speech".
No, i have not studied the Yoda that much 😁 What is the deal with his word order? Is it very much similar to the word order on the Russian language ? 🙂
@@RussianwithAnastasia - You will have to watch some footage of Star Wars, character Yoda. Thought this was interesting years ago when first saw movie, then later when studying Russian. I had never been exposed to concept that word order is irrelevant until this time. Maybe one of the producers of movie was a Russian?

Вы сказали что музыка помогает в изучении языка. И это правда. Я люблю петь италянские песни 60-ых и 70-ых годов как Джильола Чинкветти, Джанни Моранди, Рита Павоне, Хозе Фелисиано и.т.д. Я вместе пою песни с ними а попозже как караоке.
Но наверно вы их не знаете так как вы молодой человек и думаю и эти песни не по вашему вкусу.

Правильно "со стола", потому что "сст" неудобно произносить. Это фонетическое правило: много согласных подряд произносить неудобно, поэтому мы добавляем "о".
