I haven’t posted in a while, but had the sudden urge to make videos again lol. If there’s anything specific you wanna see or know about how I do things, leave a comment and I’ll try to answer it or include it in a future video. Thanks for watching! Glad to see you back - enjoy your vlogs - not to many good flatbedders out there. Lot of heavy steel you are carrying, and unusual to see someone using a paper map, although enlighteneing, from a former orientier!
Hey quick tip. When you on NJ going up north take I-95 to I-80W after a few miles take RT 17 to I-287E to NY, In NY take I-684N to I-84E. You’ll saved a lot of time than going through the GWB 12:54.
Hi Ian, Thank you for the content. Can you do a video where you cover how old you are, why and how you got into trucking, and other careers you considered or are actively considering? Do you see yourself trucking for many years or is it jus temporary?
Nice video. After 7 months of being local, I got a job running dedicated Long Beach, CA to Austin, TX. How do you manage to diet and stay in shape while being OTR? You should do a video about that. Stay safe 🤟🏻
Nice! that sounds like a good route. And good suggestion, I’ve had people ask me about diet quite a bit so I’ll try to include what I eat in a future video
After you enter the address for your destination, you can add stops along your route by tapping the 3 dots on the top right of your screen. If google won’t give me the route I want then I’ll just drop a pin on each highway or road I want to take for the “stops”, but I don’t actually stop at each pin. I just tap continue and it’ll take me to the next pin on the route. Hopefully that all makes sense lol, I’ll try to put it in a video cause it’s probably a lot easier just to show, rather than explain
@@ianelbert yeah I see what your saying but I don’t see the 3 dots on my screen, if you can put it in a video I would appreciate it, I actually rewatch a lot of your videos for the tips you’ve given overtime lol
Nice to see a new driver using a MAP! I drove melton for a few years. Retired after 30 years of driving. 👍 be safe driver.
Yeah my atlas has gotten me safely across the whole US, I know I definitely can’t trust my phone GPS so I almost always double check it with the map
“Bout 10 inches of overlap” that shit killed Me🤣

Thank you!
Thanks for your insights. Preciate ya!
Love the video. Need more videos if you can pls.

Okay thanks for the advice!
You keep droppin I keep watchin 👍🏽. You should do another road to $50k. I need some inspiration
I guess you don’t see that crack in the front where you built that with wood right on the right side, there’s a stress crack 😬
Nice i start with melton monday 🤯
Awesome, good luck!
You can still put a bulk head with a chain. You just have to run the chain from the front steak pocket. If that makes sense lol
Yeah that makes sense, I’ll try that next time!

Yeah those are some good questions, I can include that in a future video for sure
Depending on how much experience you have right now. Come to E W Wylie. Been here 3 months an only touched my tarps 2 times lol.

@@ianelbert That could help lots of drivers that wanted to get in shape and stay in shape. Maybe do a video once a month on that topic.
We need to see you flexing those Lambo’s some day 😂
😂 yeah, maybe on my next days off
Does that mic connect to your GoPro.
No it doesn’t, the GoPro has a pretty decent mic built in tho. I’m sure there are aftermarket ones you could buy for it tho
👍Excellent video and presentation! BTW, are all the Melton trucks automatics? North East Traffic.🤢🤮
Yeah all the trucks are automatic. Unless you request a manual transmission for your custom truck after you hit a million miles lol
😅😅 10" A true fishermen. Exaggerated fish tales. I can confirm that yes, 2" will work😅
As long as you land the fish, right😂 details can get a little mixed up at times lol
Which Melton did you start Orientation at?
17:16 my ex didn’t agree with that statement unfortunately 😢
If it’s good enough for a 5,000lb roll of wire then it’s good enough for anything😂
How did you edit the route on google maps ?

@@GBabyLifestyle I’m glad my videos are helpful! I’ll include some more detailed trip planning in another video
Truckers path will always tell me to do U turns like that. Very risky, so usually, I just keep going until a better option pops up 😂
These dang highways and GPS systems are always out to get us 🤦♂️ lol
Got one Lamborghini coming your way
I appreciate it! Feel free to reach out on instagram if you have any questions along the way
