As a proud Ultratech owner... This knife is an upgrade
Been watching this knife for a bit. Just came out in magnacut with a tanto blade so had to make the jump. I've turned into a magnacut nerd after my last couple of fixed blades. That steel goes forever before even needing a strop much less a full sharpening. If you want a small pocket fixed in magnacut that slices all day long check out the Creely Mako. Wicked little blade.
Oh nice! I saw that tanto magnacut release. Great pickup. I like it much better than any Microtech I’ve owned
@@doodysdaggers Yeah, I had a Benchmade Infidel that would never take an edge so it was just an expensive letter opener. One of these for half the price looks like a deal.

I carry an otf at work because of my job, but I don't really use it for utility. This axial wharnie seems like a good utility blade.

Awesome, you’ll love it! I like it much better than the Ultratech. More ergonomic, slicier blade, fires harder.

@@doodysdaggers just got the axial and am very impressed. Action is significantly smoother than my ultratechs (both needed lube out of box) but the axial just feels great. Blade play on the axial is a tiny bit more but nothing too crazy. The microtechs fire a hair harder but I feel the axial retracts harder? but holy that coating feels great. Also the axial almost has no button rattle compared to both ultratechs making them almost feel cheap lol. Overall great knife that I can confidently say is just as good if not better than both my ultratechs. Not to mention the cutting geometry of the axial...
