The female hubs are stronger because of the amount of engagement on the fine thread bolts vs course thread axles and nut. Mechanically the finer threads offer more engagement and holding force for the given size. It's also a bit lighter.
Love the channel!!!... can do a video on maintenance for the bike...cleani.g rims, adjusting brakes and changing pads...what your recommendations are...
For a guy who makes a living on your bike stop buying completes brother you been around long enuff you could build what you need part by part & probably never have to replace a thing. Good video tho nice Hoffman
Lucky you got the new bike now. I just bought my new Haro Downtown DLX in December. Then as soon as I did all the BMX companies declared a big price hike! They apparently are jacking up the prices a lot very soon. Which is a bummer because as far as I’m concerned they’re already priced high enough that an average person can barely afford one. I get it mind you. They haven’t gone up in almost 10 years but still it’s hard to swallow! lol
Awesome Hoffman Big Daddy bike Scott. Enjoy your new beast. 🙂
Awesome history. Yours! You the man!
Looking smooth Scott! Glad you are ok 👍

good afternoon Scott! very strange frame on the bike, reminiscent of the classics of the 90s

Love your content!
Nice!
Bolts into axle or brake pads is a way of opening up a new range of parts to sell and Allen keys. Should be no loss of strength.

Female axles are stronger and lighter (6%?). Mainly because they're a lot shorter, a little thicker and it's the bolt taking the main abuse.
Dude fix your hair bro... appreciate the videos but man.
