I feel that greatest virtue which Ayn Rand expositied was her hard-hitting honesty. She was always honest about herself, her philosophy and about the people and the world around her. One would never find her trying to please or satisfy the proclivities of her fans, critics or detractors.

People who dismiss Rand, could keep in mind that she was the architect of something new, and was building her mind like her novels, naturally like she said, about novels, it is a difficult undertaking, and mind you she had very little to build on historically. I think originators have much harder then those who follow them, so I can forgive some failings, if the foundation is none the less sound for further construction.
But did she make mistakes? Oh yeah, if not in her philosophy, then in her private life. But she was brilliant and passionate, in a way that I love.

Abstract art is an “enormous fraud”. Perfect.

I wonder if Ayn Rand ever met Salvador Dalí? I could see Dali doing a painting of her called 'The Enigma of Randy"' with John Galt strung up on a tesseract cross while Gala and Ayn float beside him, Ayn has a turtle shell for clothes and both are seemingly suspended by Dali's mustache, as Dali himself is sitting on a plate that's on top of a book, and he is holding a telephone with fish for hands. The shape of the fish look like mini Ayn Rand's. Giant, majestic, mountains are seen in the background. Small mountain goats stand tall at the foot of the mountains. They have long legs and huge rhinoceros horns. There is a crowd of people surrounding the goats. Dali, himself, is also sipping tea.

Who is the last of the 3 writers she mentions at the end? Can't quite make it out.

I wonder if she would have liked Rockford Files (at least some of the seasons seemed a good fit for objective values) it was around at the time, but she could have missed it.

If your an objectivist I recommend it, though not all seasons would pass the test for objectivist values, though most do, in my opinion. Sadly I don't remember what seasons to recommend.

I mean would you really say A Christmas Carol by Dickens is anything but romantic art?
