Minnesota is the only team that defeated N.Y and Las Vegas, they are candidates. Connecticut only beat rebuilding teams.

Thats a fact. I knew McBride, Collier, and Williams (Hiedeman as well but glad shes in a backup role now rather than starting in Conn) but the others impressed too. Smith and Dorka are nice. Can space the floor and defend.

Phoenix is helter skelter. Never know what you’re getting from them. Meanwhile Lynx looks like a darkhorse that can potentially interrupt another Vegas-NY finals rematch.
This is a fun Lynx team to follow.
It was more Lynx vs Cloud than Lynx vs Mercury. 🙂And I didn't expect it to be so clear, Mercury are playing really well now, but Lynx ... wow!

I know the Lynx are good, but I was expecting more of a contest, esp with Griner & Taurasi… Not living up to the hype…

BG definitely deserves the nomination more than DT. I don't like BG, but if I were to make the nomination, he would be there too. The truth is, she really didn't play much this time.

The Lynx has the 3rd best record in the league and I'm very impressed with their scoring. Collier has come back strong since having a child and they made some good trades during the off season and draft. They could be the team to beat in the playoffs.

MIN is legit, so no discredit to them at all.....but how the deuce does Griner have 10 pts on 4 -14 in nearly 30 minutes?!?! HOW?!? Makes no sense. I know PHX is just now working with all their pieces but they have to be the most unpredictable team. One night you can clearly see them as the team of great pieces that they are, other nights they look like this.
I have MINNY as my title favorites. They have the style that can beat Vegas or NY, they don't rely on 1 player for every thing and they just have good basketball culture. They have also taken all the lumps and steps to be able to really contend this year. They look steady and just play their game at their pace against everybody and win.
With Mercury, I think it's a matter of age. BG and DT need to play well for Mercury to have a chance. But they're not young anymore, and at this age it usually works that way, either you have your day and everything is great, or you don't have it ... and you don't have the physical ability to somehow save it or break it by trying harder.
