- Three Colors: Blue is a 1993 French film written, produced, and directed by the acclaimed Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowski. Blue is the first in The Three Colors Trilogy, themed on the French Revolutionary ideals; it is followed by White and Red.
According to Kieślowski, the subject of the film is liberty, specifically emotional liberty, rather than its social or political meaning.[1] Set in Paris, it depicts Julie, a woman whose husband and child are killed in a car accident. Suddenly set free from her familial bonds, Julie attempts to cut herself off from everything and live in isolation from her former ties, but finds that she cannot free herself from human connections.
Easily one of the best, most beautiful, cinematographically excellent movies ever made. Such a shame the director Kieslowski died so soon after making it.
I love this woman. Such a powerful performance from a genuine person
I'm sure she doesn't regret it. She followed her heart.
Jedan od najboljih evropskih filmova svih vremena.
Ostala dva iz triologije su dve klase ispod.
I feel I learned a lot about the essence of what a woman should be when I watched this at age 16. By far, the best of the trois. I still take much of my personal style/personna from Binoche's characters.
Love her
Partially genetic, partially it's the fact that French women don't overuse makeup
