Just in case anyone wants to know the chances of getting the Prince if you aggressively mulligan for them (including the draw at the start of your turn) is:
If you're going first:
~ 25.9%
If you're going second:
~ 32.8%
but it'd only matter for turn 2 if you're on the play so it's also 30% no?
What are the results if you add two draws to First and one draw to second?
Also, are the starting game turns draws added to this, or only the initial hand?
If you take into account the turn 2 draw wouldn't it be a little higher?
I wonder:
- Are the starting game draws being taken into account?
- What if we add 1 extra draw for both in 1 turn due to mana curve?

And it singlehandedly won him that game
The Prince isn't the only win condition and he didn't show all his games. Plus the high win percentage (albeit with a limited sample size) suggests that cutting all 2-cost cards doesn't cripple this rogue deck, which is the biggest barrier to adding the prince.

Thats what makes the card so strong. A well designed deck can win games even if they don't draw Prince. But if the Prince is played on turn 2....
But thats also the point of this video... he only got the prince once and yet won so many games with ease. This deck is good even without the prince. Not that it makes sense to play this without prince...

thank you. i can't believe no one else is saying that. were talking about a deck that very rarely leaves you with 4 cards in hand after turns 4-5. let alone playing 4 cards in one turn. not gonna happen absolutely wasted card slot in my opinion.
Yeah, you can put almost any other minion in the deck and it would be better. Wasted deck slot.

14:00 Trump doesn't play into the sunken costs fallacy. He realized he made a misplay, and he could have disguised it by just passing the turn (a second mistake). But he made the second best play by using Shadowstep on the Prince before passing.

The most underated leendary ever. I feel sas that I never opened one and no I gave grind dust to craft it.
He's the only neutral legendary I have(from packs). I feel so lucky.
IMHO quest rogue was more underrated.
The princes aren't that exciting and so I wouldn't craft them, but in my pre-order packs I pulled all three princes. I was annoyed at the time but got a lot of play out of Keleseth and Valanar - I still don't see how the 3/3 is playable but I've been wrong before!
Grimmer quest rogue was hyped by pro players as a good fun deck
The druid messed up on the second game, turn 8. He should had attacked the taunting SI:7 with ooze, wrath him dead for 3, not 1, swipe the bonemare dead clearing the board completely; then follow it up with the jade spirit on an empty board.
Hilarious how popular the Keleseth Rogue deck is. And everyone thought the card sucked.

Prince Keleseth was one of the legendaries of the set I disenchanted for dust. Opened a few packs later, got him back. Safe to say I'm satisfied with this card's results in the meta so far.

Why would you run Sharazin? Completely wasted card slot. Why would you run a value based card in a deck that lives and dies by tempo and board position? I just don't get it.
Matt Hanson because it's also a combo deck that relies on playing a lot of cards in one turn (minions to swarm, spells to harm), drawing firefly with the plant on the board gives u 2/4 cards already

Is xaril and shacu needed?
Anton Almgren not really, you can play without them, although they make the deck stronger, there are no a must.
Shaku I would say is a big draw since it can win games on its own if it attacks a lot. Xaril you don't need, I honestly think Xaril is one of the weaker cards since the 1 mana spells are of their own value (No auctioneer/valeera)
No, they are just part of the high roll engine. Shaku is more important than Xaril if you are going to craft one.
Xaril helps you revive Sherazin when you are in top-deck mode. kinda like Trumps 2nd game (although he never drew Xaril, it would've been a good draw).
There are multiple versions of this deck. I run Keleseth, Valanar, and Lich King in my deck, with no Shaku or Xaril. Sitting at 70% win rate currently.

Well, technically you can have more because of Shadowcasters and Shadowstep, might work somewhat out

Corpse flower - you don't have enough card to revive it more than once
xaril - weak body, I don't think two random spells are worth it

I think Trump got shadowblade wrong too, a 3/2 weapon immune the turn you equip it is rated worse than post-nerf win axe? Really?
How did he get it wrong? since the card never really sees play it's a 1 star card.
Well, he changed his opinion on some warrior cards based on fatigue warrior being a thing. Fatigue Rogue plays the card and it is an essential part of the deck, so why no change? It's stats alone mean it is a better card than win axe.
1. Shadowblade isn't even required to kill your opponent, as much as coldlight or Valera. Mill/fatigue rouge isn't even a great deck, it's just a meme deck that's infuriating to play against.
2. Even if Fiery War axe is a weaker stated card (although it can activate battle rage) It's just that Warrior has the tools to still utilize the weapon, via armor, better weapon synergies and etc. Yes, rouge is doing better than warrior, but do you still see shadowblade anywhere besides mill rouge? You wouldn't even see it in keleseth rouge which has the pirate package for crying out loud!
You probably don't play Mill Rogue yourself? You don't even need Valeera, 2 Shadowcasters and a lot of bounce is enough, the Shadowblade is essential as you're pretty much drawing at the same rate as your opponent. I just think calling it a 1-star card was a bit low considering there is a deck for it, and that deck is actually pretty good against supposed Tier 1-3 decks (easily beats Evolve Shaman, Razakus Priest, Quest Mage, even Mill Warrior itself). But hey, I'm allowed to disagree as are you with me. I have Shadowblade in a few 'off meta' decks and it holds up well, especially when life gain in Rogue is rare, although in Burgle Rogue the Obsidian Shard is king. Mill Rogue isn't a meme, it's a difficult deck to play well, Burgle Rogue is the meme, and I love me some memes.

The 3 mana prince is good as well, but I think the 4 mana one sucks.
All the Princes have their uses. Keleseth is the best one because he's so powerful when played either early or multiple times. Valanar is great against Aggro, which is something that most Rogue decks need. Taldaram is more of a combo card, so his restriction isn't as major since you don't usually want to drop him early, unlike Keleseth and Valanar.
You can't get two of the same legendary. What's the point of even lying
I'm missing zombie plant, burgle-fish-buddy and the insect guy, are they key elements of the deck?? I can craft them but that's about all my dust left
Hi Im Micku I'd say just go play midrange hunter since its cheaper, has about the same strategy (control board early, get value with weapon/removal, finish with high value 6 drops). I personally find midrange hunters to be stronger as it is more proactive and you have your hero power to go through taunts mid to late game.
You can make the deck work without them. If you have Van Cleef and Keleseth, as long as you have other valuable cards you can win with this deck. Try it out without them and if you really like the deck craft one, although I'd prioritize Sherazin or Shaku over Xaril.
