  • If your Homelite Chainsaw stopped running and won't start, I show how to fix this problem step by step in this video.
I took off the carburetor and saw it was really dirty. Taking off the carburetor to this specific Homelite chainsaw is a really tricky process, so this video goes over STEP BY STEP on how to remove the carburetor, clean it and put it back on.
The tools needed for this repair are listed as follows:
1 flat head screw driver. 1 socket wrench with a 10mm socket. Carburetor cleaner, and needle nose pliers (optional)
You can find these supplies down below if you're missing something.

Your video made more sense to me than anything I've watched so far. I have the same chainsaw/problem. Will let you know how it turns out after I try your fix. Thanks!

I did the one I'm working on The same
Way and it runs for a minute and dies. I'm thinking it could be the diaphragm?

Could be, I’m not sure. I don’t even remember this video or what it I showed in it lol wish I could take a look of it myself. Did you clean the carb itself? If the gaskets and diaphragm are old and weak, then yeah try replacing them. Or just buy a brand new carb. It comes with it.

Which saw? Homelite started making saws 50 years ago... this is specific to ONE model... which you don't mention.

Good question. Maybe you would be able to tell through the video. It might have the words on it. But I can’t remember the name of it lol I feel stupid haha
