Dubai real estate has always received alsorts of negative press BUT that is unfortunately from people who refuse to look up to those who have decided to believe in the beauty of their dreams and create a better life for themselves and their families by CHOOSING their life and choosing which area of the world DOES make sense to them and moving here from overseas. The Visionaries! ( and Dubai most definitely does make sense as one of the top 5 x countries to move to in 2022 recent polls). Many did lose money in the 2008 crisis so always be aware WHO you are talking to as there is sure to be unconscious biais on their part too- that's only human. In the 10 years that I've been here ( as a British Expat) selling Dubai both resale and off plan real estate, I've seen so many people completely change their family wealth but also standard of life thanks to living in this pretty incredible Number 1 city of the world. I remember selling a villa plot of land on the Palm Jumeirah for just 17 mill aed when I first arrived here in 2013. Today that would go for at least 50 million aed JUST for the land! So its natural that there is bound to be a lot of hard feelings from those who missed the boat and have watched others make a fortune.
