All printers do double-sided printing; you just have to figure out the orientation of the paper as it comes out. You just print one side at a time, flip, and do the next side.
In the long run you are better buying one of the ET 5100 series - they are built for "real" Office use, and although more costly up front, they will last a lot longer. They also come with everything you might need including full duplex, and a half decent OCR package
I wish these were a thing when I was in school. We probaby went through a printer every one or two years because the ink clogged the printer heads.
