-----------------------------------------
We drained the pond to clean up the muck and decided to build a dock and beach.

Right on!
Beautiful. Great job
Nicely Done, but you had an extra with no water to deal with ! Sweet Job dude
Kinda curious why you didn’t do a concrete post vs the wood. Some day when those post rot out won’t it be really hard to fix under water?
So far so good, but we will probably do concrete forms if we ever drain the pond again…I imagine I will be pretty old by the time those 6x6s PT rot away.
Very nice. I love the dock. Is the pond bed concrete? I'm wondering what you are drilling into at 2:50.
It is natural solid stone, got a little lucky!!
@SugarkaneTV Can you tell me where you obtained the brackets & hardware for 6x6 posts? I can only find them for 4x4s.
We welded and galvanized these brackets ourselves. You can email me your design and I can try and make these depending on the project size.
Think she might be a little bit over engineered lol
I’m all about over engineering since everything we do is a napkin sketch
@@SugarkaneTV i mean if you dont care about blowing money on unnecessary features.
@@jamesscott6753 that’s true, but you save a whole lot more doing the work yourself. The dock should last longer than me...
@@SugarkaneTV Well it sure looks like you could park a truck on it! Lol. Mine won't be a big project; not sure yet if I'll need that kind of hardware. I need to get some measurements, then I might get back to you about those brackets. Really enjoyed the video though! Got some good ideas for my dock.
@@SugarkaneTV doesnt really matter how sturdy you build it. Partially submerged lumber will be your limiting factor. Im sure you did. Could have saved more tho
