.410 is a great gun.
So nice to see an area where the birds still work to the tip of your nose. Around here those ducks would have been shot at 15 or 20 times by the time they got across the field and when they were 80 or 100 yards high to boot.
I used to love taking 10 yard or less shots with a special custom reload I used to do. 12 gauge 5/8 oz loads using .144 BB's from a BB gun with trap shooting wads for a fast spread.
Those BB gun pellets are going to destroy your barrel man. You need a steel wad to shoot those.

anything will kill ducks at 10 yards. try the 410 in a common hunting situation where the ducks aren’t landing at your feet. i’m just jealous though this is awesome😂

10 yards is how I like em and common for me lol but yeah you’re not poking a 60 yard pass shot
10yards is common if you decoy well, call well, and play your part. If you're patient most can kill birds at 10yards.

Yet another awesome video, on the kick topic. I feel most 20 gauge have less kick than a .410. My five year olds .410 Remington is loud as all get out and kicks pretty good. Think I may pick up another 20 gauge to make sure he doesn’t get gun shy with that 410 beating on his shoulder.

A 410 is a great gun with no issues if you are fortunate enough to allow the birds to work close, they work great. Just a LOT of hunting pressure these days. Congrats to anyone who is in a place that they can work with little to no pressure.

My little brother shoots that same gun but wen we shoot lighter loads it has trouble scaling but with heavy loads I have had now problems. But it did help cleaning the gun

Velocity at the muzzle is what propels 50 bbs or 375 bbs. The gauge doesn’t matter, you just have to be better than average.

TSS is pricey! I would recommend 3” 5 shot of whatever you can get your hands on!
When they are close it doesn't matter what you are shooting. Close is the key.

I have the tristar .410 and if your having trouble with it cycling contact tri star the .410s currently have a recall for the ejection pin sent mine out and they took care of it rather fast actually. Awesome shooting though, right now I use mine for rabbit hunting and am dying to use it for teal but cannot find steel shot at all.

Sir, I have a tristar semi-auto 20 gauge and an over under 28 gauge but I have been thinking about getting Tristar .410, but after watching that video of yours it's a no-brainer I'm heading out tomorrow going to get me a TriStar 410. I have a single shot .410, but it could get a little tough hunting pheasant or ducks with a single shot. Thanks

@@ColeTownsendThe I really do. I got a sbe3 28 and an ethos cordoba best 28. I’d recommend the ethos in my opinion it points shoulders and swings better. I shoot bismuth loads with the factory full and it stones ducks and geese in the decoys. I have a buddy who shoots a tri star just like yours in a 28 and he hasn’t had one issue with his and it’s half the price of a benelli

I know nothing about duck hunting but what does having a band mean
Scientist catch ducks and put a metal band on the duck or gooses leg it does not harm them. When a hunter shoots the duck they report the number on the band and they use the data to show where the bird came from age weight and other things. It is pretty rare and a very exciting thing to do.

Idk about Canada but in Oklahoma you can’t hunt geese with 6shot if I’m not mistaken, could be wrong but I believe 4 shot is the smallest shot you can use for canadas
Yes, that’s wrong. Lead is the only thing you can’t shoot at game birds in canada
I don’t know if it’s the same there or not but you can’t kill more that 4 mallards a day and no more than two can be hens

A .410 will do it at close range, for farther range definitely a 12 Guage or whatever guage u use, I've shot 12 guage my whole life and been the only gun I've ever used, i still have yet to do waterfowl, it's all been pheasants and rabbits for me here

Sounds like you have cycling issues with the tristar as well? My wife shoots a 20g youth by them and although she loves the fit it just will not run for crap. She easily has 200+ rounds and I’ve cleaned it numerous times and even sent it back to them last year.
It does sometimes. It has to have a lot of oil to run properly I’ve found.
