Flair didn't still the big gold. They owed him the deposit for it and wouldn't pay him the deposit so he kept it and took it to Wwe with him,as he should have. 🤷♂️
Great video! I’ve watched your review of this WCW Belt a few times & I’m about sold on it. I grew up watching wrestling in Memphis during the 80s, but watching WCW back in the 90s is what really got me back into pro wrestling. I keep hearing or seeing rumblings that additional WCW Belts may be coming in the next yr or so, I guess we’ll see. Good job again!
I didn't realize how similar the side plates were to the wwf wing eagle belt, that's interesting. I'm meeting Ron Simmons at a con event this december and I'm thinking about getting this for him to sign.
It looks so close to the winged eagle because Reggie Parks made both. And he basically through this one together fast when Flair took the big gold and used the same strap and side plates. They are basically the same belt with minor tweaks and logo changes
You'd figure they could at least have gotten the blue right. Drives me crazy they couldn't do that right. It should be dark blue. I've got my tv accurate one signed by Flair, Sting, Lex, and Simmons. Sadly won't ever get the fifth, Vader

Just got this belt from fanatics for less than $260 after tax. Edit: ended up being less than $200 after it went on and for even less and fanatics gave me a refund for the difference.
The strap is more flexible than I thought it would be. 6mm plates look great too.
Flair, Sting, Luger, Vader (R.I.P.) and Simmons (Faarooq) are some of the wrestlers who have held the 1991-1994 era WCW belt.
Those are the only guys that wore it.

This title look so closed to the Winged Eagle but I like it. I hope they re-released the Big Gold Belt in 5-6mm plates and have a curve.

The belt looks great, but stap is stiff. I am going to get it and I may have it releathered.
Its a little stiff but def better than most from WWE. Its one of their better straps. Even better than the new dual plated winged eagle
