I have Misophonia and Tinnitus. This is very interesting and well presented... Except the sound quality makes it unlistenable for people with this condition ; )

That is the classic sign of Misophonia. Neurofeedback really helps.

As someone who has suffered from this since I was at least 7, I am so relieved to find this video. Thank you so much for posting all of this information. I am now wondering where I could find someone who offers this kind of treatment? Please if you could get back to me that would be life changing.

Wanted to watch your video and I tried for 7:46 minutes...but alas, your voice...I'm sorry but your voice I can't stand.
Do people tend to develop tinnitus or misophonia first?
In my case, I started to develop it at 5 or 6...hearing people sing around me at church. At 8 I went into my first rage. Meal time. Sipping, chewing, tinkling of silverware. Getting told I was "too sensitive" did it and ended up throwing my chair across the kitchen and wailing as I ran to my room.
At 17 I got tinnitus. Know how your ears pop and then ring as you go up a large hill? That's what happened to me. Only the ringing never stopped. Both ears, loud ringing and 24/7 hell. Top it off I have a 24/7 migraine to go with it. Found out last year just how bad the ringing migraine was..and to think I thought it was just a headache for so many years.
I am now 44 and have a variety of bad sounds I avoid like the black plague.....
-people eating, people singing, some people's voices altogether, every sound a dog makes..and I mean that literally. Used to think I hated dogs till I learned about misophonia.
I've heard that white noise helps some people. Won't work for me. The a/c, fans, tv snow are triggers for me. I can't stand any of em.
Singing birds also drives me crazy. The sounds resonates with my tinnitus and then I get a royally nasty migraine. Strangely enough my ducks and geese don't bother me a bit....the honking does get on neighbors nerves though, lol. What can ya do? Oi
I try to have a TV or the radio on at all times. Silence is painful for me due to tinnitus.
I've heard of and looked into noise cancelling headphones, but they're all too pricey for me...and I refuse ear buds, I hate those things.
One other thing, if I have my ears plugged or I'm underwater I tend to also have a whooshing sound in accordance to my heartbeat...and it is NOT a pleasant sound either.

Just recently developed tinnitus about 6 or so months ago. I remember the moment. It was a very stressful beyond anything I've felt feeling the brunt of my business going under because of the pandemic. I sat down after venting distress and my left ear popped and the ringing was so loud that my reflex was to hold my head between my hands and took a while for it to lesson. Now I have the high pitch sound in both ears 24/7. Then I was feeling even more sensitive to certain sounds. Do you think once I establish a healthy emotional state, I mean no stress could it be possible that it goes away.

Possibly. But likely it would be beneficial to regulate your brain performance in the temporal lobe‘s. You should have a qEEG brain map performed. It will show which areas of your brain have been impacted and how far away from optimal performance they are performing. This would show you how much dysregulation is apparent. That would inform you if just relaxing would be enough or if brain training would be advisable.

  • @AussieBushGirl-ManuToigo

Needed to add. I can no longer sleep because of the ringing. I'm having to play nature sounds with crickets and rain. But I'm up for hours in the middle of the night. Can you explain more what you mean by running hot.

    • @DrTrishLeighBrainRewire
      @DrTrishLeighBrainRewire  Před 3 lety +1

“Running hot” is the way I describe the use of the fastest brain speed High Beta.
It is the speed that creates anxiety, and overdrive in your brain. It is hyper arousal. Thus, it makes sleep almost impossible and it can create dysregulation of auditory processing in the temporal lobe‘s. Likely that is what you are experiencing.

@@DrTrishLeighBrainRewire Wow! Okay, I will try to find where I could possible get the qEEG brain mapping done. It's becoming so disturbing and uncomfortable. I really appreciate your reply Dr. Leigh. Thank you and your video did help me try to better understand what is happening other than ear damage which I know I do not have.

@@DrTrishLeighBrainRewire Imagine people someone being able to misuse technology to invade people's lives and literal minds if they wanted to. Victims call themselves targeted individuals not sure if that's the correct terminology though. Research the technology is already in use. Example using electromagnetic radio-frequency to disperse mobs they were going to use it along the border. Voice to skull technology used in Afghanistan war to make the terrorist think Allah was telling them to surrender.. . Well illegal experiments have been done on citizens globally mkultra v2k and now it's A.I.
It was world War two they discovered the microwave auditory effect the Frey effect and people have been assaulted ever since.. victims that are gaslighted and called crazy including the whistle blowers you know the highly intelligent men and women who spoke out against the misuse of this technology.. detection and protection and protection of those harming others.. illegal mind experiments .. mkultra v2k and now A.I..
wish they would get the proper medical professionals involved to expose the abuse and misuse of equipment like mkultra voice to skull artificial intelligence against innocent American citizens. Targeted individuals are victims of heinous crimes. And all the shows and news reports done. Even documentaries. They are ALL lacking the professionals AGAINST the misuse and abuse of technology that can hack into people's minds..
If Americans discovered a cult that was harming men women and children those men women and children would be saved..
Well the targeted individuals ARE those victims in need of help!!.. T.I.s are gaslighted like ALL victims of abuse are.. OF course scientists and medical professionals have educational purposes and thiers also sick individuals that use this technology to so call love and abuse and sexually assault thier victims.. stop electronic harassment stalking tracking abuse.
      Stop the misuse of technology..
It's all fun and games until someone is held hostage..
