My narrated Friday facts show today is all about the hummingbirds of Vancouver - the Anna’s and the Rufous.
It’s Vancouver Bird Week (May 8 to 16) and there are lots of great events held this week - please take a look at -

Here in Vancouver we see the most spectacular birds and wildlife - right here in the middle of this busy, bustling city - I do my video and film in Vancouver and there is nearly always city background noise - trains, planes, traffic, people - Vancouver is a city of over four million - and we share this beautiful city with some of the most incredible wildlife and birds on the planet! I try to keep some city noise levels down but the fact is that this background city noise happens every day, all the time, constantly - in my Wild Vancouver. That is what my Wild Vancouver is all about - sharing the wildlife and birds that thrive here despite all the hectic human activity!
Thank you for watching my video - I hope you enjoyed it - please feel free to share 😊🙏💚

I love hummingbirds. We have Anna's and Costas here. Thank you Kate! They are so beautiful! I love their tiny little feet. I didn't know that about the snow. Great footage and information!

Thanks for to this. I was watching the hummingbirds on my honeysuckle today in Burnaby and decided to do a bit of research. This was very thorough and interesting. They certainly are remarkable birds and beautiful too. I enjoyed seeing the owls in your video. I haven't seen many in real life.

Thank you for this informative and fascinating video! I just found an Anna's hummingbird nest outside my patio a couple days ago, it's only a few feet from our window and feeder. I'll be sure to be careful and observe it without interference. I'm looking forward to seeing the chicks! I wonder if mother hummingbirds use same nests for future clutches of eggs? In any case I'm excited to see more of my favorite birds! Have a great day!

Thank you for watching 🥰 and thats awesome to watch / they often bear in the same area but usually build a new nest each season / because they use fresh spider webs and moss and lichen they need it to stretch and be elastic for their babies 🥰

It’s not - that’s like calling a kiwi an Australian - 😄 or a Canadian an American 🤣 I was born in 🇿🇼 Africa - (not South African...) most of my accent is New Zealander (I think) 😄👍👊🇿🇼🇨🇦🇳🇿

I'm South African, but my grandfather is born in Zim and most of my friends are from Zim in one way or another, all just by coincidence. Really love your videos
