You are so lucky to have decent motocross in the States. The damned tree huggers here in the UK make it so hard for grass roots clubs to operate. In the 1980's I travelled round Europe watching Grand Prix Motocross with the big 500cc 2 strokes - awesome but sadly no more. The only thing I dislike about US motocross is the riders' fascination with 'styling' it over the jumps - it looks flashy but it's actually slower in my view.

Bro, I just looked up motorcross, and I’m already sad about Tomac. F***. Hey, if I, as an adult, bought a dirt bike…could I go without getting crippled with some reasonable balance and fitness?
@@TheKingWhoWins no. Nobody to ask either. I guess I could pay for lessons but I taught myself how to paddleboard, which is less extreme but definitely requires balance and confidence in bodies of water while standing on a tiny boat. So I think I could probably pick it up by riding slow at first. Also love racing my car (ie. driving my daily around like a D bag), and it seems like logically a dirt bike is the most real, lowest cost racing that you can actually do right?
I have to laugh at they way they get all crossed up over straight jumps. Showing off doesn't win races. If you want to stay low over a jump, getting sideways does nothing. Bikes dont have wings that slow you down when you sideslip.
it keeps you lower, when you leave the lip of the jump the forks and shock rebound at an angle causing less spring higher in the air bringing you to the ground quicker to power forward or brake and lean over quicker to set up for the turn, not every jump requires a scrub (sideslip.....), and believe me you want to be as energy efficient as possible, and gettinstylish requires a tad more energy and setup, they aren't showing off........
After watching this a second time since watching it on race day... this is the best race I've seen in a while.

Yeah but you need some real time on the bike. Depends on what size you're getting
