    The final approach to runway 31R is a 4degree descent angle due to the mountains in the approach (that's why you hear the '1000ft' call twice)
    The area around the airport is a noise sensitive area. That's why an LNAV path is used, to avoid noise complaints. However, this approach can only be flown when in sight with terrain and airport.

    It messes with your head to have the flight path or even the runway straight ahead while the HSI is way off to the left!
