    i'm very impressed with the marine viaduct works on the JB, just 6 complete spans! you can show us how the precast segmental girder boxes are produced and transported to site alongside SG Yap in the future.

      Being able to see the production of the girder box and transportation to the site would depend on if we are also invited by the company 😅 If not, it would not be possible to access the sites.

    Singapore (RTS Woodlands) ↔️ Malaysia (RTS Johor) ↔️ Capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur (Electronic Train ETS) ↔️ Thailand border, Padang Besar (Electronic Train ETS)

      we only did the route from Singapore woodlands to Kuala Lumpur. Have not ventured upwards via train towards Thailand yet.

    Once the RTS is completed, within its 6 months period from the commencement date, the Tebrau Shuttle will be discontinued. KTM ends all its services at JB Sentral. That will leave only the E&O starting from WTC, correct?

    • @thebiannualtravellers
      @thebiannualtravellers  Před měsícem +2

      Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by E&O and WTC. But the shuttle tebrau will most likely not be running after the RTS is completed, as the RTS frequency is higher than the current KTM Shuttle and with a more convenient location connecting to the Singapore MRT system.

      @@thebiannualtravellers Eastern & Oriental Train, Woodlands Train Checkpoint

      Ah yes, unless they decided to remove the tracks and station for causeway expansions.

    • @aiem
      @aiem Před měsícem

      Eastern & Oriental Express departing from Singapore's Woodlands Train Checkpoint.. That's the only train service from Malaysia to Singapore using the current track once the RTS is completed. The track will not be dismantled. The last time I saw the E&O's coaches were kept somewhere in Pasir Gudang (The existing rail track between Port of Tanjung Pelepas and Johor Port in Pasir Gudang, in 2016 they were planning to have it upgraded to a double track to allow for cargo and passenger train services, for future Komuter Selatan).

    • @nick_1551
      @nick_1551 Před měsícem

      @@aiemthere is no confirmation on the double track & elrctrification of the Pasir Gudang branch line. Instead, they only realigned the part of the original branch that connects to the former Kempas Baru station to have it diverted & connect to the currently operational new Kempas Baru station. But that's it.
      And it's also not part of the current plan of Komuter Selatan. The current plan for Komuter Selatan only entails:
      1) JB Sentral - Paloh
      2) Paloh - Gemas
      This was confirmed by Transport Minister Anthony Loke a month back.

    Actually 2 more spans. You can see a viaduct pier coming up in-between the 2 completed piers here.

      True, but still unknown yet if the launching gantry would actually touch the Sea viduct as they are technically built by different companies.
