its an animation about rabbits that walk on two legs and seem to express human emotion, I think a scarf that grows and the odd chances of landing in an empty seat perfectly are fine, considering, its not meant to be realistic and already somewhat has that element of "magic", if you will, considering its a carnival hosted by animals.

I love both the style and the flow of movement of this animation, from the character movements to to swaying to the scarf, it's all very smooth and we'll done, almost the most perfect I have ever seen

Good animation doesn't equal a good story. Too predictable and full of worn out clichés that even if produce nostalgia can't compare with a solid setting and a clear message. And the lame "Deus ex machina" at the end kills the mood.
Seriously, how the heck they returned to the beginning spot? Just how?!
That is true at times, but not all things need to have a deeper meaning or message to be a good story. Also cliches are not always a bad thing.
Somethings you just have to take as they are, like a field of flowers... there is no message or meaning to it. It just is what it is, pleasant and sweet.
It just makes you feel something, in my case, happiness. And the end gave me a little chuckle.
In reality, the end would be highly improbable(besides the fact the entire thing was beyond reality... anthropomorphic animals and such) but that's the beauty of visual art, it isn't held to the laws of physics and reality.
Usually I don't bother to respond to things like this but I'm in an odd mood so here we are.
You're right. Sometimes one just need to watch and see the sun glistering on the tiny drops that the recent rain left behind. Sometimes even a still picture of a kitty can make your day brighter.
But this is not the case.
If the idea was make you smile, then the story has too much drama in the setting. I would've happy with the siblings having a picnic, flying kites or doing homework while they prank each other. Simple story, beautiful animation.
But if the idea was a fantastic adventure, then things change. The beginning is too slow, and the time quickly runs too short. At first it seems like the little bunny will just get away, make a new friend, get lost or find a fun game to play, you know, the common stuff.
The mood was already forming the start of a funny little tale of a small kid, and in the end things could get back to where started with no trouble, because that's how everyday life works.
But then the bunny flies away.
It wasn't funny. It wasn't quirky. It was shoved into the story for the plot to progress, and felt forced. The shift was too fast to feel right, and the next scenes were even more contrived with the first moments. Worry? Fear? No.
The other bunny flies too.
Why?!
Why there were so many balloons ready to be taken? Why couldn't one of the siblings remain on the ground? Why none of the other animals help? Why there's a storm when the weather was so nice on the ground? Why there's no lesson?! Why it ends like that?
And then two simple questions define what went wrong: Why it couldn't remain simple? And if not, then why the story ends in a loop?
If it was supposed to be an adventure, then they should have given us a lesson. Characters should have grown. New things should have been learned. Every moment should be filled with mixed feelings and hope.
During an adventure the story progresses, and in the end things never go back to where it started. Things change, and that's good.
But here it ends just where it started. Literally!
When I watch a video I usually don't mind the mix of both the fantasy and the simple ways, but in this particular case it seems the setting changed way too fast for how little time they had. For it to work, it should have been one or another. Or last ten minutes at least.
Everyday life depends on the setting. The ambient and the music define the mood. In contrast, adventure depends of the characters. If we can't relate with their struggle for little it is, and their growth for small it seems, then it wasn't as promised. Here we see so much, and we know too little.
I like the animation, and admire the effort put on the details. I respect the animators and I hope than they keep doing great things in the future, but... in the end, it felt wrong.
Is like they tried tell two different tales, one happy and warm and the other sad but filled with action, but then realized they couldn't do both things, so they mashed them together and it didn't work...
Or maybe I'm just ranting here because with a few fine changes, this flawless animation could become something memorable.
I swear, it could have been great.
I get what you're saying and I agree that it is indeed, in a sense, mashed. Though I guess that's what I like about it is that sudden imperfection. Thinking about it more I think that that mashed feel of sudden drastic changes, and no real sense being made, to be much like life. It changes very drastically but then drops you right back where you were before.
Aw, this video made me so happy, scared, and relieved in the entirety of it.
