i looooove the three jokers one, cant wait for an unmasked head in the 5 pack. a clean looking customisation choice is swapping the robin torso from the 3jokers wave with the first mcfarlane body. the all black outfit with red highlights looks so good
8:23 Purists might say its sacrilege, but I honestly like Nightwing in red too! It subtly shows that he's a former Robin, but also that he's evolved into something new. (Plus red being my favorite color might give me a little bias lol)

Honestly I didn't expect gotham knights to clean up as well as he did here, I have both 3jokers and new52 red hood figures, (the new52 being a grail of mine) and I really like them both, if I could I would have the dc essentials one too.
I think I will hold out on gotham knights till it goes on clearance seeing as it isn't flying off stores or anythin, and who knows we may get some other looks from the game

Man hearing how much the two pack of Red Hood and Nightwing I’m glad I picked it up for 55 earlier this year on Mercari. It was a slightly damaged box but for the figures alone was worth it

If I had to choose, 3Jokers would be my pick. Jason without a bat gives more of the feeling that he is standing on his own. Not saying he is any less of a “robin” or “son”. Just he is his own character, like night wing for example. Great video👍🏾

I personally saw it as him twisting to logo to mess with Batman and damage the reputation, and to immediately get his attention. I will say though, no symbol works a bit better when he’s working alongside Batman
I had both the single release and 5 family pack of 3K Red Hood. I kept the family pack bec. of the unmasked head and better quality overall.

I remember getting the essentials red hood in my local comic shop and it sold out the next week, the three jokers one is also really good and sadly I couldn’t pick up the two pack or Gotham knights red hood

Be warned the helmet that comes with the 5 pack is painted to look like it is covered in cracks. Just wanted you to know in case that makes a difference.

People are so weird to me. I’m surprised ppl prefer the 3 jokers red hood. The thing I like about that one is that he actually has a “red hood” & I’ve always felt like a black jacket fit better than a brown jacket. Better for camouflaging with the night since the bat family operates mainly at night (nocturnal crime fighters). Mainly, I love his different but signature bat symbol being part of his identity. Red hood without his bat symbol just doesn’t feel right although I can adjust to him without one too since he doesn’t in “Under the Hood.” But for the one that gave me my image of red hood, it’s the 2 pack version that didn’t seem to win any of the categories
Damn this video couldnt have been better timed for me. I'm about to buy a really cheap DC Essentials Red Hood, but I wanted to see how well it scales with Mcfarlane figures. Love the channel, keep up the great work
damn i wish i got mine cheap, the essentials one is super clean just be careful with essentials, sometimes they break. the shin pieces came off both times i got my red hood but that was an easy fix
@@mrdimma6713 thanks for the advice. He will be my first DC essentials so I had no idea about that. As you say he looks awesome, my second favorite after the first Mcfarlane release, but he has gone way up in price. I found this and the first Mcfarlane Batgirl for 30 bucks both in FB Marketplace and while after watching the video, they don't scale well, seems he is about the same size as the Three Jokers version so not bad.
@@thecocomastiux3655 the dc essentials and mcfarlane scale fine in hand especially if you like doing dynamic poses, theyre usually like half a head shorter but all that goes away if you get em posed up. when you get him tho i recommend to let him sit in some hot water for a bit before moving him. the thigh cuts were locked for me and i stupidly tried twisting it without heating it and ended up snapping the whole peg off lol

I love the 3Jokers chest. Never was a fan of the batlogo for Jason. Would like to have a brown jacket. Keep going back and forth with the Multiverse or Essentials one. Like the full sleeve Essentials, though not sure it'd fit the McFarlane body.

are the heads interchangable?
I have a McFarlane red hood from Gotham Knights. I added Mask removed Thomas Wayne’s dual pistols and thigh holsters. Looks like it was meant to be there, no need to repaint. Looks great, in fact better than the Essentials version.

No, but if you are doing action figure photography, you can fudge DC Essentials with the right perspective

can’t believe the outcome! I love my red hood new 52. Glad I bought him at retail. Dc collect close second in my opinion. Not a fan of the other two red hoods.
Yeah this one took me by surprise. I always think I know where it's going to go, but then you get them out of the boxes and everything can change
McFarlane has the munitions pack so can use that with red hood and other characters.

The best Red Hood for me is the Arkham Knight regular release one but the 3 Joker version is still one of my favorites. The 3 Joker is the younger Jason, thin body frame, and the Arkham Knight is the older, more muscular frame, Jason. I prefer the Blue and Black Nightwing 👍
Still haven't gotten the regular Arkham Knight yet, but I am looking forward to it.

And with my dceased red hood having arrived today I decided to find out ^_^
I actually chose none of these for my Red Hood, I bought the gold label Arkham knight red hood and Scarecrow in the bundle from the McFarlane toy store and I am super happy with that red hood. No guns (obviously) but he comes with gun hands for your own guns.
I have the Gold Label Red Hood. Waiting for the regular release before doing the video on him though. I like what I see so far though!

I never really followed Red Hood as character too much, but so far when it comes to Mcfarlane figuresI think the Arkham Knight is the one a like the best, my only gripe is that you can't take off the hood and show the whole face, what do you think?
Unfortunately I haven't played the game enough to know if he ever had the hood down, but as a general action figure yeah that would be preferred. I have him but haven't reviewed him. Not sure that I will tbh

Yeah, I wasn't too crazy about it when it came out as I felt it felt more Animated Series than comic, but she might be worth revisiting.

The Gotham Knights figure is my fav, despite being such a big boi, he has great articulation. My only peeve is that it came with no guns or accessories, and the utter disrespect of adding finger guns.

Thigh cuts are ugly.
It's a great one. In general I do get the thigh cut hate, but I also feel that in a case like there where a character has thigh straps, it can be an unobtrusive option for those who want it.
Aaaaaand yet another Red Hood announced in the upcoming five figure Batman Family pack.
Yeah lol happened right when I was working on this. Still aside from the alternate Jason head it doesn't seem to be any different than the Three Jokers one. Shame. I'd have loved it in gray with the brown jacket.

Hey no judgment here! The amazing yamaguchi figure has lots of accessories, has lots of detail to hide the joints, and is probably one of the best looking ones they've made. It's one that even I would pick up, even though that line really isn't my aesthetic. Definitely a great option.

Very good review, but it should only be with McFarlane figures, and sorry to say, this DC Essential figure never beats the red hood of the 2 Pack and the 3 jokers.
My thinking was that a lot of collectors (myself included) mix and match figures from different companies as long as they scale well enough, so his inclusion was for us
