    I love it how you can just fix up things like that and custom build it to your needs.. In finland, there are soo many regulations and laws that you can't really customize anything that much and everything needs to be inspected..

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 4 lety +1

      Well, those laws might make your country a better place in the end. Here there can be ... chaos! Anyway, it was a fun project :)

      @@metaspencer Well if the rules would be a little bit more relaxed on cars older than 30 years.. i'd have a V8 on my ford.

      @@p3l1k44n1 reminds me that I just sold one of my Fords ... had a 5.8L V8 and was quite a truck!

    Love a work space you can land a plane in! Do a video tour on your garage/workshop. It’s nice bro!

      That tour has been on my list for a while ... I've gotta get it done! Thanks for the encouragement

    Nice gate. I like that it folds flat inside trailer. Don’t have to remove it load it with a forklift or hauling long stuff.

      Exactly! I'm pretty psyched about it, too :) Thanks for checking it out

    Looks like a brand new trailer. Surprised you didn't put the clamp on the passenger side to stay out of traffic

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 4 lety

      Good idea on the clamp ... nice to see it out the rearview but not the best place to work. :) It's easy to move, so when I get a good spot maybe I'll bolt it in place to keep it from walking off. :)

    Great trailer updates. I have two questions. One, how often do you use your big old red truck? And two, what's keeping the sliding bolts that keep your new back gate closed from sliding open as you drive? Thanks from Vancouver.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 4 lety

      Oh how I love that big old dump truck, but it needs a bit of tuning to really and reliably get out there. So yeah, a tune-up is on my list for that truck ... it's a good one. Very few miles but running a bit rough at the moment. I'll start with plugs and wires and see where it gets me. As for that tailgate, it's held on by the frame around it. So when extended it can slide off to the side, but in the up position it's held in place. A bit dicey, I guess, but nice as it's removable and that big old gate can slide on whenever I need it. Good hearing from ya, man!

    • @metaspencer

      Yeah it's running great. First the transmission croaked (only two gears were working), then flexplate melted into goo and it all had to come back apart. I guess I should be saving up for some new rubber ...
