I bought some more of the amazing Tammy Tanuka Pigments, and of course I'm also pressing these! So in this video I show you how I did it and talk a bit about my experience with the pigments I already pressed ♥

Constructive criticism on how to improve my videos (lighting, sound etc.) is very appreciated!

NB: All my opinions are 100% my honest opinions. All products are bought with my own money, unless stated otherwise.
You've inspired me to try getting and pressing some pigments. Now to narrow my cart down from 14,000 options, though. 🤔
Mairead O'Sullivan Leong haha yeah they have so many stunning pigments! I filtered them to glitters and shimmers to get the most sparkly ones haha 🤩 I’ve even ordered 13 more, but focused more on pigments that work as inner corner highlight or toppers😍
Hahahahaha😂 so many pretties
I don’t have pigments to press but I I enjoy your content it’s very relaxing and pretty lol😌🙂😍
Julias Galaxy aww thank you so much! At least there are some swatches of the pigments that everyone can enjoy either way hahah 💖
you are truly my new favorite channel!!!
Natalie York omg thank you so much 💖💖
I love the colours! They are stunning x
They are some of the prettiest shades out there :D
@@MartesMakeup yeah definitely! I'd love some but I struggle with the website
Finally made a visit to your channel 🤗😊😊😊 I really want to do the same thing once I make an order from Tammy Tanuka. I love hearing your beautiful voice :)
Ashley Regan thank you so much 🤩💖
Thank you for this helpful video. I just spent about 2 hours pressing some pigments and it's sooo relaxing!!! The only one which didn't work was a green one from blush tribe, but the pigment had quite big chunky glitter or mica so I think that's why I had an issue. The 2 Tammy Tanuka pigments worked really well. I now wanna buy more, I'm addicted!
Omg yeah I think its so relaxing too! The chunky ones can bee harder to press for sure, the particles are simply too big to bind together nicely! But mine do still work nicely on the eye 🥰
Can’t wait for my TT Pigments to arrive 🥰
They're so gorgeous :D
I do so much enjoy these videos & repressing. Your voice being so soft definitely adds to the effects of the video. I've wanted these pigments for Years ever since I found etsy. Now I have so much info in one place thx girl what a huge help! Really love your content 🥰🤗🥳👏👏👏💗💗💗 I have I think 5 shadows I need to repress. Having that tool looks like a good thing to have, it's always messier than you anticipated, especially the first times you do it. I've used pins, sewing needles etc. This tool is a must!🙌❤❤❤
Erin Gillen aww thank you so much! I’ve purchased so many of these pigments, I barely use other stuff on my lid now haha 💖 I just repanned all my MG power pigments which will be coming in a couple weeks, I’ve filmed so much recently haha 🙈♥️ the depotting spatula is certainly good to have! For depotting my Colourpop palettes I still need to use needles though 😂
@@MartesMakeup dude! I got the devinah galaxy xploders and I rarely use anything else as well. I wonder what exactly that says.. probably that we just love looking like we have jewels on our eyes 🤩
Erin Gillen yeah I really like those as well 🤩♥️
This is perfect I have a couple loose pigments I need pressed to get more use out of them
This is so cool! Thanks for sharing it! I need to do this too! How have they been when you’ve used them on your eyes? (is there a big difference between “traditional“ pressed shadows that you buy already pressed? Or a difference between when you used the pigments loose versus after pressing them? (I hope that makes sense).
I definitely feel there's a difference, but it also depends on the formula. I wouldn't use these without glitter glue, as they don't adhere too well with only the binder that I mix in them. The more flakey ones definitely needs something to adhere to! But I would personally also use glitter glue with normal shimmers though :p
Thanks so much! That makes total sense!
Hello, I just subscribed! I was wondering if you tried recently your shadows, are they good? No mold? Do you think adding a preservative to prevent from molding will change the consistency of the shadows?
I dont have any mold in any of mine - I use them almost daily! I don't know what kind of preservative one could use or what consistency that would have? 🙈
Your video was very helpful in explaining how to press those pigments; your channel is one of my favorites on youtube :)
I have a small question; for the sample size of Tammy Tanuka pigments (1 ml), do you use 1 drop or 2 drops of binder? I'm a bit reluctant to use too much binder as it might affect the pigmentation of the product. Thank you in advance! your pressed shadows turned out great :)
Evelien K you can just try out using 1 drop, make sure to mix it properly into the pigment! You’ll see if it’s to little because the pigment won’t stick to the pan and may fall out (it’s smart to be a bit harsh with your pans once the pigments are dried, to make sure you mixed it well enough!)💖 I’ve used only 1 with some of mine that have a smaller amount and that works well :)
@@MartesMakeup Thank you! I think I will try to use 1 drop to ensure it won't affect the pigmentation :) I also heard that Tammy Tanuka recently released some pressed eyeshadows (hope they will make the rest of their eyeshadows also in pressed format!)
Evelien K oh, I haven’t seen that! I’ll need to check it out :)
@@MartesMakeup They only released some neutral pressed shadows; I hope they will continue with more colorful ones. :) They are a bit more expensive than their loose pigments
Evelien K yeah I saw that! Not my kinda shades, but it sounded like they’d release the same shades they have in loose form as pressed shadows, they commented the post in English :) I’m guessing there might be more product in the pressed ones since they fill up a 26mm round pan! I already bought three matte loose pigments, I pressed the white without problems, and am waiting for the two other mattes in the mail. If it’s successful I might just stick to the loose ones, as I can select a smaller size (I never finish a while 26mm pan)!
It's a crazy good idea to press these pigments and I'm gonna do it, but not because of a storing problem (I removed all the caps and screwed them one on another, made a cute little tower of pigments) but more becuse I'm a mess and I feel like I lose a lot of product just from fallouts and such! In the end, what did you do with your matte shadows? did you use any binder or alcohol before pressing them, or did you not press them at all? I have Black Cat and it's a STUNNING vantablack so I don't want to mess it up!
Thank you so much for these videos, love your channel!!!
Teri-nosaurus Rex thank you so much 💖 for me it’s not just about storing, but also putting them in my custom palettes and to be able to see the colors easier 😍
I haven’t done anything with the mattes, I’ve only pressed a white one dry, and that’s holding up nicely! I ordered two more mattes to see if they press nicely dry too, in that case I’m very sure I’ll pick up some more 😍 the issue with the mattes I have now is that those are extra small sample sizes since they came in a set, and they won’t press since it’s not really enough to cover the pan :/ but I’m definitely gonna update either on Instagram, CZcams or both what my outcome with my new mattes will be :D
@@MartesMakeup maybe it could get messy but since you're MUCH more handy than me, maybe try dumping two in the same pan, putting a cut piece of paper down the middle to dump them and level them a bit first then remove the paper and firmly press? This could go so wrong in my hands but I think you can pull that off!!
Teri-nosaurus Rex that would’ve been fun to try for sure! But I don’t know if I’d actually use them that way.. decisions decisions 😂💖
My tammy tanuka collection is starting to slowly grow and I've been thinking about pressing them so thank you so much for this video!
Do these pigments still perform as good as when you freshly pressed them?
My pigments are just as good now as they were almost a year ago :D
@@MartesMakeup great! I just need to find our where to get Isopropyl Myristate in my area :D
Do you think the sample sizes would fit into a smaller 15mm pan (like colourpop 9-pan palette size)
Maybe a Colourpop 9 pan, but 15mm is much smaller. Usually it fills a regular pan very nicely, with a tiny bit of extra space.
I‘m a little late to comment 🙈😄 But I really enjoyed this second part! Still need to get some stuff.. but I‘m also a little afraid that my beloved fur-monsters will interfere 😂
Hope you‘re having a lovely day ❤️
Juliette Mathier I’m really excited to hear how your “project” goes haha! 💞
MartesMakeup thanx 😄 so far it is kind of admiring them & put them away again 🙈 kind of scared to waste them ☺️
And I‘m on the hunt for a translation app ^^ but right now the internet is a little busy 😄
Juliette Mathier id recommend you to go to your order information, then you can just search for the different ones you got (if you got some that are similar and it’s hard to see which are which)! On the website you’ll see both the English and Russian names if you switch the language 🙌🏼
Have you ever tried pressing pastel or neon pigments ?
Hmm not mattes I think :)
Hi, is the quality as good as they were when they were still loose pigments?
I have no issues using them whatsoever, so for me they're the same 💕
Very interesting. I must try to do it with my pigments.
How long approx do they take the dry? Like minutes?
Maybe within an hour or two? Depends on how much alcohol you put in them and the percentage!
