Great work man! I’m about to tackle the 1/16 Tiger I from Hobbyboss followed by the Tamiya 1/48 Lancaster I. Hopefully I’ll finish by IPMS Nationals. Great work and happy thanksgiving
Thanks Mean...that tiger is going to be a big one! I recently bought a few takom ww1 era tanks and just started weathering the whippet. I haven’t built too much armor so I thought it’d be a good change of pace...plus I get to build dioramas with them.
Zoiks! Kudos on that weathering. Wow,.... I can picture ground cfew all over that from the wear. That's my baby right before my eyes. I have not started anything. You got this repetitive acrylic rob display idea I am curious about. The Flying Sub comes with this insanely huge knock off of an "old school" aircraft stand that I am going to use for mine. It appears to bo in scale. You went with another decal scheme & plane other than the lits version. That is real cool also. I am looking for the best type subject myself. This is my favorite building many, many 1/48 scale kits. Good times. No over board weathering on yours dude, that is beautifully done.
Thanks Daniel! I use acrylic rods for all of my display bases. For my B17, I was able to bend and glue them to create a cradle which worked out really well also.
Just great execution. As good as any I've seen. Great paint work, you have a great skill developed there. Just now discovered your work when searching for Lancaster model videos. I have heard HK is developing a 1/32 Lanc but no definite date yet. You seem partial to HK kits. Is it because you like the big scale and they are a major player in that scale or are the kits really exceptional? Just getting back into modeling myself, I have a huge stash of 1/48 airplane kits, including a 1/48 Tamiya Lancaster but would really like to do a 1/32 Lanc at some point.
Thanks Barry. I prefer to build in 1/32 scale and actually, the Mitchell and the B17 HK kits were the first ones from that company I’ve built. The kits were both good although each has its flaws, but if you want a 1/32 Mitchell, or B17, HK is the only one I’m aware of that makes them. Tamiya in my opinion makes the most consistently well engineered kits. Check out my website at primedmodelworks.com, I’ve got a lot of pics of my other builds on there.
Amazing look to that model, your skill is very evident. One question though, if on a flying stand should the propellers be stationary or should there be crafted an opaque circle with yellow outer band to simulate visual affect of the spinning blades? I guess is would come down to personal preference.
Thanks Tom. I understand that many modelers have the mindset that they need to create an exact replica of the thing they are building down to the finest details and that's great if that is what they want to do. To me, modeling is much more than creating an exact replica, it's a form of art in which I get satisfaction from taking something from my imagination and creating a tangible object that expresses what was in my brain. Therefore, I don't always concern myself with certain details. I may get criticized for that, but that's ok with me. Art can be loved, hated, admired, and criticized but through art, we can honor what makes us unique. And btw, an in flight display should also have pilots :)
Wow, thats going to be quite a daunting task. I use bare metal foil on occasion for small details but never have I foiled an entire model. I use those pointed tamiya cotton swabs to burnish it in all the crevices and that works pretty well for applying it. My only suggestion would be to do each panel one at a time, but then again I’ve never done it, only have read about it. Would love to see it once it’s finished.
@@seanerk5kt9 I have photos, ,need your # to text them to you. Panel by panel is right on! Rounded over tooth pick used to burnish details. I will invest in those small q-tips you mentioned. Doing Tamiya's P-51 in foil next.
Just a cheap one I got on eBay. I may get a bigger one at some point as this one is just too small to be effective. Normally I just open a window next to my booth where I have a fan to blow out the bad stuff.
Brilliant paint job, bombers are my favourite to watch being built ,I’m a novice at the mo ,but I’m not gonna do a bomber build until I get an air gun
The sun fading on the wing marking is superb.
Beautiful, you did a amazing job on those models 👏
Your canopies and windows always look so perfect 👌🏻
I love the B25 Mitchell and your plane is so nice 😁💪
Why do people dislike this? I think it’s amazing!!!
Nice work mate! ✈️👍🇳🇿
Love your work! Bought the strafer 6 months ago now want to build mine. Hope it look nearly as good as yours! Well done.
Absolutely stunning work...thanks for sharing...
It's cool, like the B 25 in the movie "Catch = 22" starring Alan Arkin.👍
Very nice.Good work!
Man, what a fantastic build!!! As good as they get!!!!
Awesome!!! Great job!!! 👏👍👍👍👍👍
Looks amazing

Absolutely gorgeous
Absolutely amazing job
I really like your builds.
Beautiful job! The weathering looks great and it's not too much. Do you think that this kit could be modified to make a B-25B ?
Thanks Ted. I’ve come to realize that anything can be done, just depends on how much effort you want to put into it.
nicely done
Fantastic job! I wish I would have seen this video earlier, I would have looked it up on E-Bay and bought it!
Thanks Randy. I put most of my builds up on eBay as I build them.
Looks great 🤘🏻

Very well done.
Thats a beautiful model my bro
Thanks Paul
I wish I could see the weathering from start to finish.
Fantastic job my friend! Progress on mine is a bit slow. I’m awaiting parts.
Phenominal work !! id buy your stuff all day long on eBAY ! Let me know.
Thanks! I’ll be putting several models on eBay this fall and winter. Got an f14 on there now. My seller id is seanerk5kt9.
@@seanerk5kt9 great , thanks .
I could not find you on ebay, what is your rate on a hk b-17 "Memphis belle"

How do you get the glass so glossy and transparent?
Wow, good for you , bad for me ! I want one as too shaky hands prevent me from building models anymore.
Well guy
You do great work!!
What is your opinion on Anigrand kits
Never built one
@@seanerk5kt9 I built a 1 100 Caravelle United model.
1 100 is so small and painting the figures was a challenge.
It was a cutaway by Linberg.
I wish they would make a cutaway version
I’ve contemplated doing a cutaway on my next one.
Wouldn't the paint chip to the primer and not necessarily through to the bare metal? Just curious.
Scale Modeling USA maybe maybe not

Have you done any aluminum foil work? Doing the HK B-25j in foil now. Interested in any tips you might have.

How much are you asking for this great looking replica?
kwman69r it sold soon after I built it.
What spray booth do you use? Thx

Your mug is the size of a B-25, lol
Where’s the people I cut mine up to do their jobs
