I'm 51 and missed the Smiths and Morrisey as a kid in the 80-90s, so glad I discovered them recently and HOLY CRAP, this music is so vibrant and unique, it will never get old! LOVE THIS GUY
I got roped into act as steward at a morrisay big in preston in the late 90s. I thought he would come.out launching flowers about the theatre. I wasn't a fan and I was placed front and centre of stage surrounded by banks of speakers . First song I didn't know. He was plugging his latest song. Then the guitarist struck up six notes and the place errupted. He sounded note.perfect and the band where magical. Busy night catching the crowd surfers. But what a gig.
Is that right? i was 8. One thing i loveabout this planet is a good tune is a good tune no matter year it came out or what genre some Journo from NME et al called it all those years ago.
I'd have to say , that my heart very much belongs to the Mancs and that wonderful town 🥰...morrissey was legendary , as I knew he would be....and Manchester will always be the heart of my wild youth , and of my best friend and soul mate...even though I am Derbyshire born and bred...every weekend was party time in the city !!! 😁😁🤘
I went to the Doncaster Dome one . First gig aged 15 was there to see Him.....31 years later aged 46 , I made it there again ...full circle . I've seen him many times in between.....he's like a fine wine and improves with age imo xx
I so wanted to get this gig but ended up being able to see him in Blackpool , it was JUST AMAZING... 4 years I waited and very nearly didn't make it alive , to see this LEGEND , at least I could still be there....in a wheelchair , but what a night...🙏🙏🙏🙏 wish I could have told him just how far I have come ( and not only in distance ) ❤❤❤❤❤
Dear Diamond Dog Unfortunately, the older Morrisey gets, the 'less' I like him. The voice remains great when singing but when speaking there are few words of wisdom. Perhaps refined dignity in age was better seen in the author of your 'name' - the esteemed David Jones! Cheers
I couldn't afford see him. I live in Vegas and it's always more expensive here. He's worth every penny though. I haven't seen him in probably 15 years. He still sounds amazing. So glad he's still performing. I just love him. Thank you so much for sharing this.

His singing really just gets better and better .... I love it!!! A lot of performers just hope to sound "as good" as when they were younger.... but Morrissey has upped the skills throughout
Ian brown needs to book some lessons in how to sing from Uncle Mozzer ah ah ha ha ha ha! Pity he only played one Irish venue on his tour, I enjoyed seeing him in Galway on a previous Irish Tour, not far from a Hurling pitch...
Great gig - thanks for posting - Irish Blood, English Heart is such a great track.... with Oscar Wilde in the background - how very apt... I've been dreaming of a time when The English are sick to death of Labour and Tories And spit upon the name Oliver Cromwell And denounce this royal line That still salute him and will salute him forever
I listen to You sing and I suck My breath up and start saying, “I Love Yah I Love Yah I Love Yah (it is something You have to see to understand)…I want to BE WITH YAH!!!
41:04 Before the song is over, I must mention how I, the "Girlfriend In A Coma," met "Veronica," the day after the July 9th 2022 concert in Caesar's palace, IT WAS AMAZING!!!
I was in Doncaster a few days before to see him and it was packed and I’ve been to lots of gigs but it was up there with the best of them . Great band , great man .
this is just amazing., I saw Mozzer in concert but this is on another level. YOU GO Mozzer!!!! you are rocking it and doing our age group proud.. love you now and forever
Hard to explain just how good this sounded from further back, probably the best production I’ve ever heard at a gig. Bonfire Of Teenagers nearly brought me to tears, absolutely nails my thoughts and those of most Mancunians! Best line up for years. Morrissey is at his peak! Keeps the intolerant progressive trolls very busy! Sadly.
Thanks for this, we were there at the Apollo, what a concert it was! This was my first Morrissey concert, what have I been missing all these years, he is a genius!
Fui desde España a Manchester para ver el Concierto y la ciudad y me encanto tanto el concierto como la ciudad (fue el mejor concierto al que fui!! Y la ciudad ahora es mi preferida!!) I Love Manchester!!❤
Fantastic stuff, I saw Moz at Blackpool the week before, I'm from Manchester, but got face value for Blackpool, I wasn't paying silly money for Manc....He's been on top form for this tour, sounds great, in good humour and a great setlist, seen Moz 8 times and Blackpool is up there with the best I've seen.
I saw him in Doncaster last week . Him and his band were amazing. Rebels without applause would sound unreal with Johnny on guitar. Such a smiths sounding track that one
That. Without doubt. Is the best opening to a gig I've ever seen.
I'm 51 and missed the Smiths and Morrisey as a kid in the 80-90s, so glad I discovered them recently and HOLY CRAP, this music is so vibrant and unique, it will never get old! LOVE THIS GUY
The Sinatra of Punk Rock. awesome act.
Not at all
We love him because he's real, Manchester absolutely nothing to answer for
My goodness after all these years and his troubles, he still sounds so fresh and vocally strong. There's no-one quite like Morrisey. One of one!
Wow he looks amazing, has total command of the stage and his voice is still as strong as ever.
@El Eleven Agreed he is awesome. He gets better and better.

I should have said the six notes where for first of the gang...
I don’t know why, but when I see Morrissey on stage, it’s like watching a living Elvis, mesmerising.
Perfectly stated. They should turn his home after he passes into a Graceland
Elvis is not dead FYI ..
Lol I said the same thing last year after watching his video "my love life". He's the English elvis
@@riceyo62 mate he was born in 1935. even if he wasnt really "dead" when he died in the 60s, hes definitely dead by now. LOL
@@ps5hasnogames55 he faked his death in 1977 and he is a preacher in Texas under the name of Bob Joyce ..think he's still alive.
40 years to the minute, the hour since the Smiths first gig. Manchester. Was amazing. Thank you Steve.

Jonathan Ince I was their as well what an epic night it was!
Love Moz..
I was there too, my first Morrissey gig in the UK, right at the front, was within arms reach...blew me away💙
The only musician left without compromise
Moz rules! A great poet & artist! 🥰❤🙏🌞⚡
His voice is still amazing!!
ignorant total nonsense.
He has so many incredible songs. Haven't seen him for 15 years or so but he's sounding even better

I adore that guitar riff in 'How soon is Now' What a song, still as powerful now
It's for plastic "fans" that know nothing of Morrissey or The Smiths.

Are you familiar with the concept of 'subjectivity' at all?
It's a piece of music, what has fandom got to do with it? 😆KN🎱B

My precious Moz
I AM starting to see the stars reflect in the reservoirs, so it MUST beeeeeee LOVE 💕
