  • This is a video on one of the many methods of parking in cross stitch. This is not a hard and fast way to do it, this is how I park my threads. Any questions, please ask in the comment section down below! Happy stitching! ❤️

    Thank you for using one of our patterns in your parking video! Love your running commentary which made me laugh out loud - before coffee too, which isn’t easy to do. 🤣 Saving to watch again because this might be the first time I really get the concept of parking (old school cross country stitched that I am).

    I have been stitching the way you showed it for the past month 😊. I was getting column lines so am now parking to the right and no more lines. I also park in the left most stitch of that colour. I have tried thinking of a name for this method but haven’t come up with one yet.

    Great Video,,,,,,,clears up a lot of questions that I had about starting a Parking Method.....gonna give it a try. I have one piece that has the same color (its all around for a large border) and then the piece goes into a lot of confetti......so after I stitch the border in the same color ......going to start working on the other colors using the parking method! Thaks Again!

    Wow. Finally I understand parking. Yes it made it so much easier explaining it from the beginning and also about using the furthest away parked thread so it didn't get tangled with the others. Thank you so much for the video.

    Awesome parking tutorial...Dont know why I didn't know you had a flosstube channel,but I didn't. I've now subscribed and rang the bell 🔔. So I won't miss anymore. Saw your post on The Cross Stitch Studio...you did a great job 👏. Im currently stitching 10x10 diagonal blocks...the best thing is you have NO ninja stitches to go back and find to fill in...once the block is stitched,your finished. And I love parked threads....the more the better 🥰

    Thanks Jen - that made sense. Appreciate you taking the time to do this. Not sure how it will work with stitching in hand (which I do). I think those extra threads would be in the way and a mess. Good to have in the back of my head though if I want to try it.

    • @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679
      @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679  Před rokem

      What I didn’t show because it was only one block was that sometimes I will wrap my threads around a needle minder, or I will braid three blocks worth of threads together to keep them out of the way, that might work for you! I’ve seen others who stitch in hand park threads before, so it’s possible 😃 and I’m glad you liked it, thank you! ❤️

      It’s just the stand they sell at Michaels, I don’t remember the brand because I bought it probably four or five years ago

    How do you get it on your tablet

    • @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679
      @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679  Před 11 měsíci

      To put it on an Amazon tablet like I have you have to download the google play store. I googled how to do that, just type in “how yo download google play store on a fire tablet” and there’s step by step instructions. I had like four files to download in a specific order, it tells you how to do it. Once it’s there you can get pattern keeper 😃

      I use a q snap to hold my fabric! I had a basic floor stand to hold it during the video. My next regular flosstube I plan on going over the stuff I use and how I store my items and stuff 😃

    I too can’t see the needle hole, so I need to use a needle threader. Can you leave the needles in your threads when parking?

    • @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679
      @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679  Před rokem

      Yes, you would have multiple needles with that. I’ve seen people do it before, and they have a few needle minders on their piece to keep them from moving all over or falling off the thread 😄❤️

  • @joannedwards6002
    @joannedwards6002 Před rokem

    Do you have to use a grid method?

    • @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679
      @jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679  Před rokem

      No actually you don’t! If you trust your counting skillz you can park anywhere, just park your pattern where you park the thread. I’ve parked on dimensions kits before when I didn’t want to end the thread but didn’t trust myself to skip over and actually stitch it

      @Jenn The Caffeinated Crafter I'm a crazy stitcher, lol. I start in the middle, and at a certain point, I'm all over the place. I'm working on a dimensions gold sleigh ride Christmas scene and the colors get boring and I need to move to another area after a while. This should help with all the color changes.
      Loved your video and thanks for answering me 😀
