- This is a video on one of the many methods of parking in cross stitch. This is not a hard and fast way to do it, this is how I park my threads. Any questions, please ask in the comment section down below! Happy stitching! ❤️
Pattern is from thecrossstitchstudio.com
Really enjoyed this tutorial. I struggled with other videos. I finally got the concept!!! Thank you thank you!!!
This is such a great tutorial! It made so much sense and a literal lightbulb lit up for me. Thank you so much for doing this!
Am waiting on my first HAED pattern and been watching a lot of videos about parking, yours was the first one that I could totally understand..Thank you very much!!!!
I’m so glad it helped!!
Thank you for using one of our patterns in your parking video! Love your running commentary which made me laugh out loud - before coffee too, which isn’t easy to do. 🤣 Saving to watch again because this might be the first time I really get the concept of parking (old school cross country stitched that I am).
Thank you again for letting me use one of your patterns! And I’m glad I could make you laugh BEFORE your coffee 🤣🤣 ❤️
Thank you it did help me a lot needed to see the starting and did as you kept serching on YT untill I found yours that I can use
I have been stitching the way you showed it for the past month 😊. I was getting column lines so am now parking to the right and no more lines. I also park in the left most stitch of that colour. I have tried thinking of a name for this method but haven’t come up with one yet.
Great Video,,,,,,,clears up a lot of questions that I had about starting a Parking Method.....gonna give it a try. I have one piece that has the same color (its all around for a large border) and then the piece goes into a lot of confetti......so after I stitch the border in the same color ......going to start working on the other colors using the parking method! Thaks Again!
You are very welcome!!
I really enjoyed the tutorial! I'm a cross country gal, but I always wondered how parking worked! Very easy to understand with your explanations.❤
I'm so glad!
Newbie here searching for that 101 class😂 Otherwise, your video was amazing, I finally understand parking. Thank you so much!😊
This is the best parking tutorial I have seen. Thank you so much for starting at the beginning! And the commentary is great.
Ah so glad you liked it!! ❤️❤️❤️
I really like your sideways method, I'm gonna try that. And i love the long videos, and this was an awesome one, so thank you!
Thank you so much, at long last it makes sense, I have been trying to work it out for many months, I just thought I would try once more to understand the what iI got it. hope you have a wonderful Christmas
Glad it helped!
❤❤❤ Thank you so so so much!
You’re welcome!!
Nice tutorial! I use a needle threader all the time now. It makes my life so much easier.
Thank you! Yeah think I will need to pick a needle threader up soon 😂
Ahhhh.. .Jenn...this made perfect sense! Thank you so much for doing this video! So much easier to understand when starting with a brand new wip. Hope you have a great week. Much love ❤️
Woop woop! That makes me happy to hear! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for making this video. It all makes sense now. I just might try this if I can break my habit of cross country.
It’s definitely not for everyone, and I love cross country but I’m finding a LOT of mistakes, I just need to stick with this
Loved the video, you really showed it in a way that even I understood it 😂😂. Thanks so much ❤️
Haha!! You are so very welcome! ❤️

Wow. Finally I understand parking. Yes it made it so much easier explaining it from the beginning and also about using the furthest away parked thread so it didn't get tangled with the others. Thank you so much for the video.
I’m so glad I was able to help!! Thank you for letting me know! ❤️
Awesome parking tutorial...Dont know why I didn't know you had a flosstube channel, but I didn't. I've now subscribed and rang the bell 🔔. So I won't miss anymore. Saw your post on The Cross Stitch Studio...you did a great job 👏. Im currently stitching 10x10 diagonal blocks...the best thing is you have NO ninja stitches to go back and find to fill in...once the block is stitched, your finished. And I love parked threads....the more the better 🥰
Haha that was the first time I announced it in any groups we are in together 😂😂 I don’t really advertise my channel it’s more word of mouth ❤️❤️ thank you!!
@@jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679 well....im so glad I've found you 🥰
Thanks Jen - that made sense. Appreciate you taking the time to do this. Not sure how it will work with stitching in hand (which I do). I think those extra threads would be in the way and a mess. Good to have in the back of my head though if I want to try it.
What I didn’t show because it was only one block was that sometimes I will wrap my threads around a needle minder, or I will braid three blocks worth of threads together to keep them out of the way, that might work for you! I’ve seen others who stitch in hand park threads before, so it’s possible 😃 and I’m glad you liked it, thank you! ❤️
This was SO good!!! Thank you for all your efforts and posting it:) Just subscribed too!!
Thank you so much!!! I’m so glad you liked it!! ❤️❤️
Great video! I love a long video, like you said, just hit play and stitch away 😊. Regarding the name of the method, how about The Horizontal Halvorsen? 😂 I look forward to your next video
thank you, it finally makes sense.
So glad it helped you! ❤️
Clover has a desktop needle threader that might be helpful. About $13 atWalmart
Any info on the stand you're using to hold your Q-snap frame?
It’s just the stand they sell at Michaels, I don’t remember the brand because I bought it probably four or five years ago
How do you get it on your tablet
To put it on an Amazon tablet like I have you have to download the google play store. I googled how to do that, just type in “how yo download google play store on a fire tablet” and there’s step by step instructions. I had like four files to download in a specific order, it tells you how to do it. Once it’s there you can get pattern keeper 😃
Great video. Thanks for the info. P.S. what loom do you use???
I use a q snap to hold my fabric! I had a basic floor stand to hold it during the video. My next regular flosstube I plan on going over the stuff I use and how I store my items and stuff 😃
I too can’t see the needle hole, so I need to use a needle threader. Can you leave the needles in your threads when parking?
Yes, you would have multiple needles with that. I’ve seen people do it before, and they have a few needle minders on their piece to keep them from moving all over or falling off the thread 😄❤️
Do you have to use a grid method?
No actually you don’t! If you trust your counting skillz you can park anywhere, just park your pattern where you park the thread. I’ve parked on dimensions kits before when I didn’t want to end the thread but didn’t trust myself to skip over and actually stitch it
@Jenn The Caffeinated Crafter I'm a crazy stitcher, lol. I start in the middle, and at a certain point, I'm all over the place. I'm working on a dimensions gold sleigh ride Christmas scene and the colors get boring and I need to move to another area after a while. This should help with all the color changes.
Loved your video and thanks for answering me 😀
Did I hear my name?
Hahaha you sure did!! 😂😂
I feel honoured 😃😍
