  • In this video, I install the Atlas #305 Turntable and the Atlas #304 Motor Drive. I have a block system on my DC layout, so I used the Atlas #220 Controller to run the turntable and the Atlas #215 Selector to run the track.
    This video also applies to the Atlas #303 Turntable. The only difference is the number of stalls.

    Nice video. I have one of these Atlas turntables from the 1960s (with brass rails). The older ones don't have as many positions for the track. I don't use it anymore, but brings back a lot of memories....Well done video......

    • @MMRails
      @MMRails  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi, not stupid at all. There are a lot of wires! I used brown and yellow but you can use any colour. It’s the connections that are important. Different colours just helps with organization. You can find the wire at any hobby shop, hardware store, or Amazon. I really recommend reading over Atlas’ directions. I bought the book but I’m sure they’re online somewhere. Good luck!

    A very nice video and explanation. I'm looking to purchase this same turntable and motor, though I have two questions: 1) Is this turntable compatible with sectional track (where the track is molded to the roadbed)? 2) I'll be running my trains via a DCC controller that does not have an A/C terminal for accessories, so I'm wondering if I should either invest in a "wall-wart" A/C adapter, connect the turntable to a DC power pack that I have, or try another option.

    • @MMRails
      @MMRails  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you! I don’t have any concrete answers unfortunately but my guess is for 1) you could probably transition from the turntable to the sectional track with one small piece of snap track. And 2) I would use your DC power pack. Give it a try. I’d love to hear an update. -Mark

      @@MMRails You're quite welcome, and thank you for your prompt response :).
