- The Tampa Bay Rowdies rallied from a halftime deficit as Manuel Arteaga and Cal Jennings each found the net in a 4-1 victory against Rhode Island FC at Al Lang Stadium, giving the hosts their first win of the 2024 season while handing RIFC its first setback.

Rowdies looked horrible the first half. They finally got some semblance of playing the game and pulled away, but they better improve a lot if they wish to contend this year.
RI atrocius in defense line
A sketchy start for The Rowdies. The second half was dominated by them and the score could have been six or seven. RI never gave up, and two of their forwards were dangerous the entire match.
