    Great ideas. I'm embroidering beach towels for a customer. Neither she or I are going to wash the towels before they go to the recipients. How do I get all the wash away stabilizers out without washing? My one request for instructional videos is to please show what you're supposed to do with any stabilizer after stitching is done. I'm always left hanging with the finishing. It's all part of the process. Thank you.

    • @Sulkythread
      @Sulkythread  Před 3 lety +1

      If you aren't washing away the stabilizer, it likely will be perforated enough along the outer design edge in order to peel it away from the embroidery. There may be small bits left, but just tell the recipient that those will disappear after washing. Or you can moisten a cotton swab (like a Q-tip) and run it along the stitching lines to be able to lift it away from the embroidery.

    Does the 505 temporary adhesive spray make a towel rough after washing?

    • @Sulkythread
      @Sulkythread  Před 8 měsíci

      We use Sulky KK 2000 Temporary Spray Adhesive and it doesn't make the towel rough. You can also spray it onto the stabilizer (not on the towel), which will help it lift off the towel after embroidery.

      @Sulkythread  Před 6 měsíci

      What fabric is used for the towels? That will help to match it to a stabilizer. You can also consult our Stabilizer Selector Tool, which will recommend a stabilizer for your project! sulky.com/stabilizer-selection-tool/

    does the adhesive effect the needle in making it gummy?

    • @Sulkythread
      @Sulkythread  Před 8 měsíci

      It doesn't. If you are worried about that, we have Anti-Glue Needles that work great. Or you can put a drop of Sewer's Aid on the needle before the stitchout begins.

      @Sulkythread  Před 2 lety

    I didn't think you could use regular bobbin thread. I thought you always had to use the 60W in the bobbin.

    I am trying to embroidery a letter on a towel and when I wash the towels they are so rough where I embroidered. What do I need to do

    • @pattilee5964
      @pattilee5964 Před 3 lety

      Hi Betsy - Usually any roughness that remains when you've used a water soluble is because it didn't all get rinsed away. Usually all you need to do is re-wash it. I would avoid using any other products with the wash such as vinegar. But that should do it.

    Please are the embossed designs good for plush towels only or for any towels used or new ?Thank you

    • @Sulkythread
      @Sulkythread  Před 2 lety

      It really depends on the design you choose. There are many embossed fonts at Designs by Juju and they're recommended for all sorts of towels. But if the towel is super plush, you may want more knock-down stitching to show off the letter best.
