I first started listening to Dragonforce in 2007 as I was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan, this song has felt like the perfect description of my tour, and my life after.

it's been nearly 15 years since I came home, several of my friends were not so lucky, some days things are great, other days I quite literally feel "Lost in the darkness, so far away from home" I love this song despite the emotions it stirs reflecting on that period in my life. Thankful for the music that helped me though a rough time, and continues to help me process what i've been through.

When I first got into metal I loved this band for the speed. I've since become a fan of thrash metal so this seems much less extreme to me now. Today I appreciate dragonforce for their mixing of guitar and keyboards, and how each gets some awesome sounding leads and riffs
I feel like this is more extreme than thrash the drumming is much faster in power metal.

Found an mp3 player in high school. Couldn't afford one so I kept it. Soldiers of the wasteland was on it. Not long later GH3 came out. Featuring through the fire and the flames. I knew at that point Dragonforce was my favorite band. A year later. My first concert in an area I grew up in I watched Dragonforce play live right after discovering another favorite Power glove. So this song is home for me. Thank you
