I'm from Suryapet, I grew up roaming around all those streets all the time. Currently, I'm in the USA btw, that's not saraswathi 4:47 it's Telanagan Talli statue like the Statue of Liberty (New York, USA). The lunch you ordered is served with Dal, Sambar, Curd( Yogurt), Bendi (Okra curry), Dondakaya (Tindora curry) and Gongura pickle (Sorrel leaves). When foreigners visit any place in India local people will have the curiosity to try talking to them or like having a picture with them so please don't get offended or scared, every human being is kind and welcoming here. Anyway, Stay safe and have a pleasant trip.

Our king of udupi didn't took part in war and took the responsibility of cooking for for soldiers in war and not a single grain was wasted during war when he was asked about it he replied that he gave some peanuts to Krishna and left over peanuts represents left thousands of soldier in war and he would cook for them ...He was very much appreciated and blessed that udupi would be famous for food and it is so now ...

wow.. I am happy to see you try an Udupi restaurant at Telangana. Since I am from Udupi I thoroughly enjoyed your Coastal travel series. Udupi cuisine is found throughout India and world wide . It is mostly known for its authentic vegetarian cuisine originating from the temple kitchens of Udupi. Udupi is also known as the breakfast city as we have 100s of breakfast varieties.. all are vegetarian. Udupi is also famous for its nonveg cuisine however it is called as Mangalorean cuisine as it is part of same region. As usual I am irritated seeing you mix up food😄😄😀😀But that's okay.. you are enjoying it. Only thing you will miss the individual and intricate flavours of each dish. Tondekai is Ivy gourd. Bendekai is Okra/ladies finger. Gongura pickle is made up of leaves of Roselle plant or Gongura plant which is famous in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

You have been blessed with well behaved kids not fussy with food, not glued to their devices and exploring overwhelming culture and people. Get a stroller for your youngest member can be tiring for mother holding baby all the time.
