Warszawianka 1831 roku (The Warsawian of 1831) is a Polish patriotic song written by Casimir François Delavigne with music by Karol Kurpiński. The song was written in support of the November Uprising of 1830-1831. Delavigne was fascinated and inspired by the news of the uprising making its way to Paris and wrote the words, which were translated into Polish by the historian, journalist, and poet Karol Sienkiewicz. The poem by Sienkiewicz is the one commonly sung today in Poland, and is the version you'll hear in the video.

This is the first complete version of this song that I've heard of. My warm congratulations, even though it didn't go as smooth as your Polish Volkshymne, the vocabulary being more challenging here.

Wonderful performance, even despite occasional false tones from time to time. It's also first time I hear good old Warszawianka in its entire verbal glory.

4. Wake up Kościuszko, pierce the hearts,
which with [fake] mercy want to manipulate.
Had known one such murderer,
who flooded Prague [Warszaw district on eastern bank on the river Vistula] with blood?
Let him pay down such with his own one,
let the ground be nourished by evil guest's one.
Laurel of our brother's suffering
shall then grow more fruitful!

5. Fight, you Pole, ferocious struggle
proud Tsar has to fall.
Show him sacred ring,
uncowardly Polish women' gift.
Let such symbol of dearest pledge

6. Och, Frenchmen, [were] worthless
