My tip is do not underestimate your opponent. There are times I've faced very bad players but they knew how to properly gimp me and low enough that I couldn't recover with c4 so that's my number one tip.
Big thing for cooking grenades and avoiding getting hit by them, if you do the Shogun method for cooking them, you can use your timing of your second grenade pull to then time the explosion of grenade 1, and the explosion of grenade 1 to time the explosion of grenade 2. You're doing it right if they combo the opponent in training mode at 0%. Also the C4 thing, I've lost sets to that. It helps to have an internal clock in your head and just knowing if it's been awhile since it's been gone, it probably will blow up soon. Full hop C4 away from a platform if you don't know where it is and immediately detonate and you won't hurt yourself. You can also use the game's clock to track when C4 will explode.

Not exactly that you forgot to mention it because it also ties into blowing yourself up but not having situational awareness and forgetting where you placed your C4 can also be a problem as well
@@PoppinSwiss It's actually dependent on who the last Character holding it was! So if Snake throws a grenade at a Zelda for example, and she picks it up and throws it back at Snake, the hitbox is now smaller against Zelda and bigger against Snake. Whoever last possessed the grenade has the "friendly" hitbox applied to them.
i actually lost 2 times in a tournament at game 3 because of the bad habit to double jump up b once you're offstage but did it too close to the ledge, and peach was able to fair me, the second time a link was able to fair me too. this is a huge habit snake player need to fix
Hehe great video! I laughed at the 5th mistake. I play a similar game with link where I keep in the back of my mind that the remote bomb has been out for a while. I believe the timer is longer but I definitely know how that feels LOL
I do literally all of these things LOL. Callin' me out like this... But for the getting out of disadvantage thing I find fastfall neutral airdodge is a really good alternative to dropping c4 every time.
Awesome vid an idea for next time might be how to be less predictable as snake as I feel a-lot of the good players i play against can usually manage to dodge my grenades and then wait for me to come in with dash attack or back air n punish. Or maybe a nair one into uptilt guide cause all the good players I play vs usually air dodge out. Just floating some ideas thanks for the upload :)

Do you think you have any tips for me I'm not doing so good at the locals people there play really patient and don't approach much and kind of wait until I do a laggy option or something
Most of them are pretty good aft fighting snake and play some hard matchups for me I feel myself improving though playing online fucked up my offline play tbh
I would say if someone is playing patient you could play patient along with them. Sooner or later someone is gonna be impatient. I think you're just the one falling for it first. If you keep your ground and continue camping and whatnot, they'll have to come in soon enough so you can do what you want. Especially if you're racking up dmg from nades and nikita in the neutral they'll have to come in

Another big mistake is committing to F-Tilt 2 when the first one doesnt land. I get punished all the time for that.

yeah nade hitbox is bigger for opponents. same for the ditto. 1 snakes nades hitbox will be bigger than the others.
