Thanks for taking a different approach on this Push 3 video. I watched too many videos yesterday that went over the basics ad nauseam. Yours is the first I watched without feeling the need to skip through to find the meat. You managed to cover the new features in an entertaining and involving way for 10 min straight -- thank you! Subscribed.
Thank you for watching and supporting. I appreciate it 🙏🏻
Yeah, youtbers really need to distinguish their videos as: beginner, intermediate or advanced. They never will, however, just for more views from all skill levels. They don't care about you wasting time on their video.
From one educator to another. This is the best push three video I’ve seen yet.
I appreciate that. Thank you 🙏🏻
You are the person who’s push 3 content video I wanted. Welcome back

Best Tutorial I have seen so far on the push. I was just about to say I need to learn how to play in chromatic mode and you mention it at the end of the video!
Thank you! Will drop the chromatic playing class in June!

🙏🏻
Damn they really nailed it with this one
It’s wild
Man I'd love to see a tutorial on that killer drum patch. Hope you're cooking more stuff man. EDIT: nvm on the tut, you literally exlained how
Awesome demo. Love the workflow. Curious to know if you have any experience with MPC Live and how P3 compares sound quality wise.
Sound quality is great on both. Plugins/effects are the biggest sonic difference.
Ableton owes you a check homie👊🏾. Bye Bye MPC-X SE. Well done Bro.
Appreciate that bro 🙏🏻
We want that course too!!!! 😭😭 I been on that email list waiting for a bit Jamie 🤣
Free course dropping in June! Thank you for supporting 🙏🏻
Nice to hear that!
CHIRAL! It’s my favorite synth! I can’t believe this machine plays M4L devices, I hope I can get one someday.
Any update on the course you teased? I'm really excited for it!
Thank you for asking! Almost done editing and cannot wait to share 🙏🏻
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Amazing push performance as always in youre videos!! What do you think about the pad sensitivity (not expression) in comparison with push 2 for playing piano instruments?I have both... push 3 and 2 , but I cant seem to find acceptable pad sensitivity settings on push 3 for playing nuanced piano instruments like with push 2. Maybe you can share youre push 3 pad sensitivity settings? thank you!!
Thank you! Pads are much more sensitive. I’m still dialing my settings in but will post a story about sensitivity soon.
Never new you could freeze to covert midi to audio…cool. What I usually do is loop a midi clip and then record the audio on it’s own track… one reason I like this approach is I can record audio for longer than the midi clip so I can do many variations with real time hardware tweaks.
Yes, this was awesome
more content please!
It’s coming 🫡
What up J 🔥
What’s good!
This looks bonkers
Game changer for me
2:40 The external MIDI connection to the Moog and the routing of audio back into Live looks easier on Push 3 than on computer!
For real! It felt intuitive.
I would love a video about how to make a mpe drum kit :) thnx, the video was awesome!
That’s a good idea 🤔
@@jxmieblake yeah, it is really hard to find info about that. I try to find it out myself, but it is quite challenging tbh. Would love to learn how you did your mpe kit in this video.
dude! you make me wanna learn to play push! and i can't play any instrument 😅 only know some music theory. Followed for more amazing content!
I made a free class for people to learn music theory with Push in chromatic mode. Coming very soon :)
@@jxmieblake nice! would love to learn push as a first instrument 👍🏼
but are you going to drop this? sounds amazing!
Hmm maybe I should 👀
I keek coming back to your video for connecting my external synths in Standalone, nothing easier. I was trying to follow the same process in controller mode in hopes that i could use the interface and it could also be that easy, but alas did not work. Can you share your process or reccomend one for sampling synths when in controller mode? Thanks, and can't wait for your course to start!!
Do you mean controller mode as in tethered/not standalone? Or do you mean user mode?
@@jxmieblake thanks so much for following up. Yes, controller mode. My Push 3 connected to my MacBook and synth connected to Push 3 via USB and audio ins on the back of Push. I tried to connect my Minatuar bass synth using same process as video. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. Any help much appreciated
DAMN
homeshake vibes on this one
where can one procure those percussions, damn
Reluctant on Push 3 until this. Got it on Reverb
Nice..does this have sample key detection?
Not yet!
Is this hooked up to the Computer or are you running in Standalone? This is cool.
Standalone!
what headphones are u using?
wow
🙏🏻
are the button are clicky and need a preasure like push 2 ? my push 2 play button stop working after 2 years
Could you sell this Expressive MPE Drum Rack?
Any vocal track recoding possibilities? 😃
Yes! Dynamic mic with xlr to 1/4” cable
@@jxmieblake
Can you do a video about this? A basic song with some vocal tracks. Intro, chorus and such?
🙏🏾
How is the build quality compared to Push 2? Will it suffer from sticky sides?
Great question! It feels more solid, pads are completely different and I’m told there will be no more susceptibility to sticky sides.
@@jxmieblake Thanks for the reply.
What type of audio interface are you using with it?
It’s built-in interface!
Push 3 is an audio interface too!
Do they finally implemented chowing chords on Push3?
Not yet!
@@jxmieblake Sad...
is this standalone? How did you add all those inputs? In the manual it says its only possible in control mode?
Yes this is standalone. Which inputs are you referring to?
@@jxmieblake via adat its only possible in control mode. i've made up my mind not to switch to push 3 because of this. Such fail in the design, it could've been great
Where did you read that adat inputs are only available on control mode? I’ve seen an entire drum kit recorded via adat in standalone.
@@jxmieblake Sonic State video of the push 3. Its possible but probably the push3 was not in standalone mode. It also says so in the manual. Pretty shitty, it made me not buy it and stick with bitwig, get a APC40 MK2 to add to the elektrons etc to downsize the setup. My flightcase isn't portable anymore 🤣 when i saw the push 3 I was thrilled because it would replace the laptop and the mixer at once. But thinking about it a laptop isn't that bad. Many artist use hw and laptop so its ok, i was just too snobby at first.
This cat is nice.
None of the push 3 reviewers have mentioned the surface finish. Is it the same TPE rubberized surface used on the Push 1 and Push 2? If it is, this surface deteriorates to a sicky gummy mess. Researching this on the net, only to find its the same for other owners. The surface breaks down over time in normal ligh. There is no known solution, short of removing the surface with rubbing alcohol.
Different surface material. I’m told this will not have the same issues.
@@jxmieblake Thanks. It would be nice if someone mentioned that without being prompted.
Needs a bigger better display
it could be alot worse
So chill. Connect wit me?
The beat is nice. And I'm sorry to be that guy. But... I'm not sure I need a €2,000 groovebox to make lo-fi beats, as great as that groovebox might be. xD The stripped-down controller looks good but €400 more than Push 2. I know German economy is not doing well. But come on, that's %60 price increase.
This is more due to global supply chain issues that many tech-reliant companies are experiencing. Aside from that, you can make any style of music (not just lofi) :)
d0p3
I kinda refuse to believe that you’re purposefully hitting the portion of each pad that opens/closes filter. Not seeing any vibrato techniques, I imagine it just sounds more unique when your finger lands wherever on the pad. Am I wrong?
Good question! And it’s a mix of intentionality and chance. There are certain parts where I played lower on the pads than others.
I love you! Reach out to me.
But without the arranger ????
these videos need to stop because i don't want to buy this damn thing but i know im going to
Haha sorry?
