    I laugh everytime people mock on 'no punch in the face' in Kyokushin. Those people don't know that due to no punch in the face, these fighters develop bloody strong resistance on their body like a tank. Anybody can punch in the face and KO others but try penetrating a kyokushin fighter's body and you will be frustrated. You think these fighters cannot KO you with a strike to your head? try them :D
    I dont speak out of nonsense, i am not a kyokushin practitioners, I have a black belt from another japanese budo. I have quite many kyokushin friends and when we were younger we used to have light sparring sessions weekly or montly and I always ended up having bruised all over my chest and limbs :) One of them knocked me once not with high kick but only straight mae geri to my solar plexus. Hell yeah these guys are fucking good

    • @chocolatemongjc
      @chocolatemongjc Před 4 lety +1

      Karateka are trained to use open hand elbow, head and knees, these techniques are always aimed at areas that can do irreversible damage, as with many martial arts, you are only able to safely pressure test certain skills, even in full contact certain techniques are too difficult to safely control, hence there omission. Unfortunately a lot of people believe that what they see is a complete representation of the art. Hope this helps answer your question my friend.

      If the fight is equal (draw) after second extension then fighters weight up - the lighter fighter wins if the difference is over 1 kilogram. if fighters have equal weight then the decision is made by the number of broken boards ( fighters brake boards before tournament), and if number of broken boards are equal then the decision is up to president of the organization( I may be wrong). In this case Japanese fighter won because he broke 22 boards vs Russian broke 21. Hope this helps. OSU!!!

    • @thisbrokenmachine
      @thisbrokenmachine Před 8 lety

      are u kidding me, broken boards dictated the winner? those are some very weird rules. they should just make them fight a half extension if there is a tie so the stakes are higher for the fighters...but I don't know if people get paid for this if you win the tournament.

    • @damirka83
      @damirka83 Před 8 lety +2

      +thisbrokenmachine they did fight 2 extensions already. They don't get paid like mma or ufc. May be champions get some $$$, but not even close to mma or ufc amounts. Kyokushin is a way of life and not business

    • @thisbrokenmachine
      @thisbrokenmachine Před 8 lety +1

      I know I realized that non paid fighters don't need to risk their lives...I was only thinking entertainment at the time...but how can they go through multiple fights with massive hematomas on their chests?...they just power through it?...I guess that's what makes these guys masters

      If I'm not mistaken, boxers punch people's heads harder because they have hand protection. I'm not sure how much the area of impact mitigates the force though. But if you punch a person's head with bare hands, you have a high risk of hand injury.
