The first plaxton coaches that you filmed was built especially for stage coach. They was called the interurban built and designed for connecting cities such as hull and Sheffield. They originally had a floor mounted luggage rack at the front by the door. You can add a 1 to the mileage on the tacho's . They where super easy to drive and quite comfy as well.some of them at the depot i worked at would do at least 65 mph. They where built on the bullet proof Volvo B10m chassis.
Just wondering, is the coach at 3:07 still around? That was owned by a friend who sold it in December 2020 following it being surplus to requirements. The reason there's some residue on the door is because I'm in possession of the Alized badge that was once displayed there!
Yes you could buy them off the scrapyard, probably for scrap price plus their profit. But why would you. They are absolutely knackered, and need to be broken up and fed through the shredder.
Most buses that live from 17 to 19 years get withdrawn ready for new buses to take action which causes them to get VOR and then scrapped. A few buses do escape scrap and are converted or preserved. I hope that helps!
I saw the alx400 my favourite bus by the way ALX400 trident wow this bus rocks this bus has a good engine and it just like the sound from the Gemini b7tl I don't know when it got withdrawn

The mileage is in Kilometres, I would imagine the first one at 233000 would have already gone round so be 1.233 million Kilometres!
P772TTG was used for banger racing sadly
Our Arriva Wright Pulsar Geminis are starting to arrive there :(
I was a driver for first Aberdeen and all the drivers hated the bendies
Hi mate would love more of these keep it up
the coach that has tetleys on the side would have been from tetleys coaches of leeds
I used to drive those Aberdeen bendy buses but the seating was normal cushion not leather

it was still there last time i went which was 9th april
@@kaolla1000 ah right cheers! Was a shame that was sent away, it was a very reliable vehicle.
Should think lots of the mileage counters have been replaced or switched during those buses' lifetimes so probably not accurate
Both of those coaches are more likely to be over the million mile mark tbh
