- For all 3 shooters, the Mini-14 GB (Government Barrel) was easier to get hits at 50yd than the highly sought after Belgian FNC.

Good
Should try one of the newer models. Much more accurate than the 80s versions
You can check out my Mini 14 Accuracy Testing video on the newer one and the older one. The new one is better no doubt but IMO the old one isn't THAT terrible in comparison.
@Cubic_3 no I think the biggest thing is the front blade is pretty thick on these guns and it makes being consistent a little harder unless your running the optic. But the new ones shoot under 2 moa which is plenty good enough for anything you may do with this rifle
@@calvinsallee My SG550, MKE Z43P, and definitely the Valmet M76 have comparable front sight post width. Valmet M76 FSP is about 15MOA wide when I compared it to my targets of 11" wide at 100yds.
I shoot irons pretty darn well. You can check out my Accuracy testing videos on this.
There aren't many FN fnc rifles in this country
All of these boomer bashing MINI -14 videos always show first generation pencil barrel Minis that have been modified excessively that usually end up in the angry Boomer/Mini trasher complaining they are inaccurate and whine about the performance. The tip to better results in the Mini platform is to get the newer 580 series with the heavier tapered barrel and keep it stock, oil it, use correct ammo as layed out in the owners manual and learn to grip the rifle properly. There are guys out there popping steel at 500 yrds with the platform The secret is don't do things that may the weapon a failure, be an honest critic of your skills and technique and keep it stock out of the box. Don't compare the weapon to the AR. It isn't.
A mini 14 or mini 30 will not get complaints from fudds. On some ranges that is helpful.
