Goes to show the sportsmanship and camaraderie between the top bands. That drummer's head blew moments before they were set to compete. No time to run back and grab a spare - so SFU let them borrow one of theirs.
I know Field Marshall And Laurence O Tooles, But inverneay are something else. Stuart has a lot more up his sleeve to win more world pipe band championships than any other band. FACT. Great Stuff, Limerick supporter👍
@@YerMasAMattress It's called _copying Ian MacLellan's Strathclyde Police_ , whose renderings were too pointed -- I guess I should add, "for my taste."
Stuart has brought piping to a new level. There was a time when Strathclyde Police were unbelievable. Totally different level. Unreal. What a band👍👍👍
What abot mid argyll pipe band
Mamamia…
that slow air….speechless..making my eyes water.
How wonderful is this medley…
Love the wink and nod from Liddell at 00:37 Something must've been going "just right"!
ha. Noticed it
I think he was confirming with the anchors that the circle was properly formed. That's a hell of a drum corps to merge with so perfectly!
This band gives me goosebumps every time I listen to them.
This is magic . Big thanks From Spain
Wonderful. Thanks so much!
I grew up in California. With a pipe major as a father.
These guys are balls out.
Fingering well illustrated, in a cogent rendering!
That March was out of this world
Superb!!!
I have to say that I caught the SFU sticker on one of the drums at about the 4:10 mark. Made me chuckle

One of the most innovative pipe bands in a while.
Now I know where the phrase " The Pipes are Singing " comes from - this a true example
Wow !
very good camera and cutting work.
Wonderful pipe major!
goood band
The transition from the slow air is nasty
Why is that Patrick?
nope
Anonymous D sorry for the improper lingo - nasty means awesome/incredible. At least where I’m from lol
Patrick McCormack should have put that disclaimer in with the original comment 😂
@@patrickmccormack317 don’t worry, I got your lingo. Cos I’m cool, hip and relevant!
so tight
Love the spear
6:09 jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez that's tight
tight drumming lads

صوت القرب روعه وتبديل من مرش لمرش براعه في الدقه
Same
Googles translation doesnt seem quite right - "The sound of nearness magnificence and a switch from a sprinkler to a sprinkler of precision"
What's the name of their intro tune? is it not Bet Badenoch? I cant find sheet music for this anywhere.??
Jack it’s called William Grey
Great video but at time mark 2:33 it shows band playing G1 chanters not Cheney?
Chesney Chanter reeds
@@YerMasAMattress thank you
whats the tune at 2:17
The silver spear
What's the name of the last reel before the slow air?
Dimitri Van Bogaert Jack Daniels reel
a little gangsters paradise tease around 3 minute mark
Hornpipe's too pointed, ala Ian MacLellan. This one should be served up more _allegro,_ as the 78th F.H.P.B. play it in their Megantic Outlaw concert.
I prefer this arrangement. Nice and pointed, controlled however still very musical.
It's played how they want to play it. It's called musical interpretation and expression.

I can't believe how Tyler Frys' crap flourishing style has infected even the best bands.
100 times better than field marshal Montgomery pipe band.
