Of recent I stumbled into people from Brazil , Cuba, carabian, they originated from Yoruba land ... They no longer speak there origin language but they maintained their culture and still sing Yoruba songs in worship to orisha

They no longer speak their language because they were taken by force into strange lands and forced to communicate with the languages of their masters. You also should have been able to communicate with and in Bini but it exists not.

@@nnfefe9451 oga people from Edo state don't even speak benin but they are all from benin no dout... why is that like that too.... i heard that in benin olden days it was forbiden to teach benin language to others or make it an official language in another settlement. Only edo tribe in Edo state speak benin abd the rest tribe speak differently but they are all from benin no dout... oma is good in benin.. eze is a name in benin.. many Igbo words are also used in Benin I have been there and i know this for a fact... even Onitsha people claim to come from Edo and no body force them to say it.... do you think you know their history more than they do or do you think they are all mistaking at this same time.. think it twice in every lie their is alway truth hidden behind it. Please let them tell their story and don't come from your land to teach us our own history and story.. like if you know it more than our Ancestors

Those who were shipped to Brazil had their Yoruba language in their heads unlike you who lost yours either before, during or after you landed in you present residence, then started speaking your current language, different from Bini.

Language plays an important in the interaction of people and more so in empires in that effective communication is a must. Language is used to tell a story by indigenes and to describe themselves indigenously so that outsiders are kept out. Onitsha (Eze Chima- King God Knows) not only says that Bini is her root but all Onichas are descendants of Bini . But there many Onichas in every 5 Igbo States, making the claim laughable. All the Aniomas speak Igbo, prompting the East Igbo to ask why they do not speak Bini? Their names even of the obis, counting system are all in Igbo, a far cry from Bini. Appropriating the Igbo language and trying to pass it as Bini is questionable. It has become difficult to sweep under the rug and that is the dilemma.

Isseleuku originated from Benin, the word IYADE is attributed to Isseleuku people when they were leaving Benin to Isseleuku the Oba blessed them with the word IYADE meaning you will get to your destination... Just the way They say IYARE is Benin meaning you will go and come back safely... The culture you see here is never an Igbo culture and from Ishekpe in Isseleuku We still have Ishekpe in Benin till date ..

One of the backbones of a culture is language but in this video it is100% Igbo sans Bini. Even your name Oma is in Igbo meaning good. Issele uku itself is in Igbo. Even you king's name is Nduka=life is greater in Igbo. Nigerians speak English credited to being colonized by Britain. You come from Benin but do not speak Bini, why?

@@nnfefe9451 so you didn't know we were forced to learn English? And Benin language was not forced on anyone during that time. Use your common sense it's free. I have left Nigeria for over 30 years now I can barely speak the Benin language just never mind my children or my grandchildren. So imagine that for centuries what language my great-great-grandchildren would speak? English language and names, that's what happened here.

Isele uku sometimes I think they are joking when they claim origin from Benin. When u talk they say u ant tell them where they came from..my question is simple..did u migrate from Benin with igbo names?...igbo language?..igbo culture?..wearing Benin necklace and using binin mask doesn't make u Benin pls..Benin is different from igbo generically and physically..to any same person..isele uku are not only igbos, they are physiological, generically, ethnically igbos..

@@osazuwaedeh6918 bro,the small Benin Influence in the language is due to proximity to Benin. If u go some part of nsuka in Enugu they have some language similarity with kogi, some bear Attah as saw names...its common everywhere. If isele uku land was Benin origin there kings will answer Oba and not Obi, there land will be Benin names but this is not the case..in precolonial era igbos didn't pose any military threat because we are Republicans, we didnt run empires, how can Benin that claim to own isele uku, that posed military threat now have there land occupied by igbos and there kings bearing igbo titles..so your analysis is wrong on arrival..isele uku, ukwuani, ika, onitsha are brothers of same clan Ezechima..read history book(not wikipedia o).its understandable if they have some Benin practice but they are not Benin origin. Igbos understand them 98% ,Benin dont hear a word when they speak .physically, genetically, they are igbos. Benin dont have a land beyond Edo state..however is important to note that during Benin empire, Benin had Influence on western igbo communities, including Lagos, but that's not equivalent to land ownership .
