【Synopsis】It follows the story of the hot-blooded youth Xiao Yan. This is a different story, it should start with when Xiao yan died after defeating the yanlan clan elders and the devil god. He has two lives bcus his ancestors gave a pill that can make come back to life even after he died, I remembered xu’er betraying him at the end and the medicine elder was taking captive too. So this is really not the season 2

I agree. I'd been waiting for this for, God knows, how many years, and when I heard the news that they would change the cast I was very disappointed. All the cast in 1st Season are the best for it (especially Leo and his ringmaster) and they're such big shoes to fill. Good luck to them!

this is the remake ( at least they didn't change the novel's story line so far as the old fight break the sphere , so it won't give rise to disappointment ) and in my opinion this s2 is even better than the old's . let's just appreciate they effort in makin this series , it must costs a lot of time and money .
@@userra00if it's a remake why is it called season 2? And they just mentioned his fight with yanran which happened at the end of the original. Also Xu'er is enrolled in the academy but he's not? And they don't know him? I was expectant because I thought it was a continuation of season 1, but even as a remake, shouldn't most things match the original?
So they couldn't follow the first storyline bcuz that storyline was completely fabricate and thus they couldn't build on the real events of the story. This version although appears to have extremely poor fight scenes stays true to the storyline. After he defeated nalan yanran he did come back to the academy to try and get the heart flame. Also Yun shun never died at the 3yr agreement like the first season portrayed. So really they can't go off of the first one.
Also the fairy doctor is not hai bodongs daughter lol. I dont know wtf the first season was thinking, clearly the effin director don't even know the guddam storyline.
The first season although was very good (just becuase they had more notible actors), they crammed multiple stories into 1 event which made no sense.

I think a lot of us were waiting for season 2 and had really high hopes even if Leo Wu and Baron Chen weren't in it. This season He Luo Luo was not what I was expecting. Now, I'm not going to diss any of the actors and actresses since the only actress I recognize is Ding Xiao Ying, she played Ning Rong Rong in Doulou Continent. The rest, I have never seen them in any drama before, ok maybe Wang Xiu Zhu since she plays a lot of supporting characters. What I'm going to talk about are the messy storylines and the not-so-funny comedy. I watched season 1 and I watched the anime, both are amazing. This season I had to skip a lot of scenes and that was just ep 1, I was so confused. Maybe, this season goes by the book? I'm not sure since I didn't read the book? Sorry, this is just my opinion. I think I'm going to skip this one. Also, it feels the budget for the special effects department is...well not up to par. Once again, do not come at me. This is just my personal opinion. If you like it watch it.
The male lead was the main lead in loved crossed. He star in few dramas you just haven't seen them. The female lead also. Those who constantly watched Chinese drama will know that these actors act in many dramas before not only ancient dramas but also other dramas but you're correct this season is kinda poor indeed

Another thing, I would never look down on any actors or actresses, unless they are so bad at acting and even then I don't voice it out to the world. I know this role for the ML will be challenging because that's a big shoes to fill but I'm sure everyone of these actors and actresses will do great. 😍

While it is difficult to reconcile the differences between these actors and the ones in season one, I think this sequel has real potential. I am going to keep an open mind and enjoy it. The only problem I have is that the ML character is a bit immature whereas the original character had been through so much that he was mature beyond his years. It doesn't feel so much like a second season as it does a remake. This is more a problem with the script and directors than with the actors. I absolutely love everything about the opening song.
Can’t agree more. The vibe of the character feels off. Just from the first half of this episode the personalities feel different. Xiao Yan doesn’t feel like he’s burdening everything his family went through. The incentive is off and he’s just goofing around. He feels more cocky and Xun Er doesn’t give off the powerful hidden princess vibes… also where’s Medusa 😭

And I tell you who else is a beauty...the snake queen from the first series...and the high priestess in DouLou Continent...which is another drame that if it comes out, will have a dramatically different cast, Your highness is funny if you havent seen it...but also suffered a bit from a re-casting...but they did some unique things like keeping actors but transferring them to other roles previously held by someone else...
