Speaking as an asian this is the rhe first time ive seen a show with alot of africans abkut african characters. And i love it! ❤ We relate cos asian families are alot like nigerian families. And iver never heard so many people speak with such a different accent in such a high concentration in my life. There already is such a lack of african content in western media. Stop gate keeping. Look at me enjoying nigerian accents, clothes and actors. Im loving all of it

Forced Nigerian accents you mean😢😢😢 Gina character is culture shocked each time she visits Nigeria, watch some of her interviews. She is first generation British-Nigeria migrate parents, very British accents. Us African real born and raised never consider them truly Africans. They would be considered the black sheep in a family setting
If it's a fake accent and it irritates you then just shut up and bear it. Where were you "the real Nigerian" when they were auditioning? 🤨 This is a good show and don't ruin it for others
Chukwuemeka sounds Nigerian, but like northern Nigeria instead of south. He does not sound Igbo to match his name. But ultimately, it doesn't matter that much
Though i will admit there are some words that Chukwuemeka says in a way i have never heard a Nigerian of any sort say, but for an actor, i don't think he did terribly. We can't expect all actors to get the nuances of accents they are not exposed to daily. And maybe someone with the right accent did not audition or if they did, turned out not to be as good of an actor.
Because Gina Yashere is an accomplished comedian who has worked hard and has been given the opportunity to make a show? Because you are watching a channel called Comedy Central Africa? Funny how you think it's "woke" to see black people do anything
@@charlesleroq932 I have nothing against black people. I just hate the fact that the blacks and the aboriginals and the LGBT community complain about everything and then after they complain they get whatever they want. And if you cannot see that then you are blinded to the world.
@Lareina-cf9pnNo, the OP is right the accents are forced. The only authentic ones are Chukwuemeka and Abishola. I would know, I'm a Nigerian living Nigeria
@@yyoveltube I understand that Gina Yashere is of Nigerian origin. But she's lived all her life in the UK. Trust me when I say that she sounds nothing like a Nigerian, the stress and intonation are off. Compare her accent to the Other character "Goodwin" and you'll see that it's forced. Again, I'm Nigerian and I've lived all my life in Nigeria. So I most certainly know what I'm talking about.
Kemi knows how to deal with a Nigerian mother, because she is a Nigerian mother. 😂😂😂😂
"This was not a please, it was a thank you" love Kemi🤣

Love that show 😂thanks
Where can i watch the full episodes?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So are all Africans in this show from Nigeria or any other african county?

Some of these accents 😕 Especially Chukwuemeka’s. And also, why are they calling him Chukwuemeka and not just Emeka?
There could not even get an authentic ChukwuEmeka to play that role. The Nigerian ascent is just so off and annoying.
It's Americans and Europeans immitating west Africans
Like bro😩 just get a Nigerian living in Nigeria to play it

Forced Nigerian accents, a bit cringe 😬 they may be Nigerian by heritage, but it's inauthentic, and so it falls flat for me

Vernonia amygdalina aka bitter leaf. It’s a leaf/veggie that has a distinctive bitter taste. Means you are either bitter or salty. Lol
