I have both traveled throughout the entire United States and have lived and worked in States all across our beautiful nation. I have met our people and shared with them as well my life stories with theirs. I don't believe there is a more inspiring, welcoming and open society anywhere in the country than in the State of South Dakota. God Bless South Dakota.
I live in San Diego and just came back from a 4-day vacation to the Black Hills region of SD (rushmore, crazy horse, custer, deadwood) and it was entirely too short. there was more that I wanted to see and it is a BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING, GREEN state. Who knew that SD held such underrated beauty? Most of my friends in SoCal turned their nose up at my trip and said I should have went to Vegas (overrated) instead for Memorial Day Weekend. I

I live near pine ridge, it's so naturally pretty here it's amazing to see how nice nature can be on earth, my ancestors really picked the right place to live.
I grew up in South Africa, live in Australia now, and will be moving to the US next year...and I have told my fiance that I claim South Dakota as my home state. I just love it there! Black Hills is where we got engaged and where we'll do a big part of the honeymoon. Gonna most likely settle in ND first, but western SD will be our home oneday.

Don't watch videos that say bad things about SD it's my home and is very lovely and hope you enjoy moving here because everyone deserves a chance to be wanted and thanks to Europeans that they are racist and it's true emrican whites are too some are nice but they don't respect the way we live I mean we are the ones who made this possible for them to live we never wanted drama also Americans are killing us indians for who we are they are buffalos are very sacred so and also be sure to visit our crazy horse monument and our Indian made mt. Rushmore the four first presidents!!!

I grew up at Mt. Rushmore. My parents had the park concession. This is one of the best SD tourism productions I've seen. Thumbs up!!!
South Dakota is a beautiful state. We were there for 12 days this past September and saw some of the most beautiful scenery in the country!

Serving in the Military and stationed in Wyoming I too loved visiting the Black Hills three times I did loved it.
My heart will always belong to South Dakota.
Everything @Sharon Boo stated is absolutely spot on truth. South Dakota is a great state AND the Black Hills is a magnificent area full of beauty, rich in history and endless in discovery. I was just there for a 3 night stay in Custer and we enjoyed as many aspects as we could take in from Crazy Horse everyday, Rushmore, Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Needles Hwy and Badlands to mention a few experiences. My 3rd time visiting.
So proud that we have visited this beautiful State last year in July 2013.
Thanks to all the people who helped and advised us. We never forget the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park etc.

sd is one of the loveliest places ive been, especially the area around spearfish. i absolutely loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.
I want to really moves to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where people are nice and warm and welcome.
will NO the people are not nice and welcome. they seem nice when you meet them, but the newness wears off. they pick and choose who to be nice too and I hated it there. move to Alabama

After watching this video, I definitely want to visit south Dakota. It looks so beautiful. If I decide I really like it, mb maybe I will move there. I hear the winters are very brutal, but that's ok. I love the cold weather.

My family and I just spent a week in the Rapid City area (I posted a couple clips on my youtube channel) and had the absolute best time ever. We cannot wait to go back. My husband and I loved Keystone, Deadwood, Spearfish, and of course Bear Country USA!!! Definitely a great vacation that makes me realize just how beautiful our country is!

I am from Box Elder SD (pretty close to rapid city) I miss it so much I moved away and havnt been able to visit. One great memory is my dad taking me to Mt Rushmore every year for the fireworks. I never witnessed anything more beautiful

Take a trip to South Dakota,you wont be sorry. My sudgestions are, Iron Mountain Road,Custer state park, make sure you drive Needles hwy,its amazeing. Spearfish Canyon. Absolutely beautiful! The Badlands National park,go on a sunny day. Mt Rushmore. Rapid City..Reptile gardens and Bear Country. Deadwood. Just do your research,watch youtube vids etc. As on any trip,know where to go or you might be disappointed. We love South Dakota!
