- I'm trying out some mica powders for the first time, so I ordered a bunch off of Amazon to give it a try. I pick out 2 of the 20 different color combo's I got, and let's see how they come out.
What gets me most is how little of product is used to get the desired colors you're looking for when making these. Those turned out great and best of luck when you get them out on the water. Thanks for sharing Rich!
Those colors are pretty sick! I’m sure the video doesn’t do it justice.
Mica powders are awesome!👍
Yes they are!
Definitely try using a tenth of each of the powders, sometimes the non color portion of the shifts get so thick you lose control of any transparency.
Thank you. I need to try out some me of the other colors, but I will definitely cut back on the amount. Thanks for watching, and for the advice.
Nice video and great job on the baits. Loved em my friend! You do a really good job! Thanks for continuing to share with us. Keep up the good work! And as always, #Owl'sNestOutdoors rocks!!!
Thanks! Will do!
I have been using their product for awhile now. I do like them , but when using 2 or more pigments, use small amounts. I have a 1/32 that I use most of the time
Thanks. I was going to play with some other colors soon and I think your right, use less.
Can you use straight mica powder as a substitute to colorant?
What split tail minnow mold are you using? I'm looking to pick up a split tail jigging minnow mold and am having a hard time finding a good one.
Jacobs mold
They make it in a 3”, and 3.75”.
@@owlsnestoutdoors thank you. And nice video
Water bath!! 😭😥😥
